204 yard (blue tee) Par three third hole Photo submitted by Edpro on 07/08/2013
Never again
Evidently they had me booked for a party of four, I am a single player.
Very rude lady in the pro shop, and to my very big surprise the 18 holes was first nine twice.
Met some very nice people and that’s about it.
Great value
Not the best course but great value for the money and ok playing the same nine holes from two different sets of tees.
Good for your value.
It’s too bad the course is only a nine hole course now. The back nine was great layout which made it a great golf day. Would be nice if they were to go back to a 18 hole course.
9 Hole Course
So, it is a 9-hole golf course that you can play twice for 18 holes. We had to stop play and wait about 30 mins and wait for the new players to start there round. Not ideal but we were out golfing. What can you say. The weather was perfect but if there was any bad weather coming there would have been a problem. I will try to play it again if I can. One weird thing is hole 2. You have to wait for water-skiers. Strange but true.
Only Nine?
I didn't know it was a nine hole course until after I paid. The Tee Off wab site shows it is an 18 hole course. Kind of disappointed
Overbooked
Play 9 holes twice. First 9 took 2 hours & 20 minutes. Then we came back to number 1 again at 2:50. We left at the 2nd tee at 3:45, and we were still waiting to tee off. They obviously had more players than was reasonable for timely play. The couple we were playing with us also quit before playing the 2nd hole for the second time.
3:15 to play 10 holes!
9-hole repeat
The course only has nine holes, but the layout is interesting enough to keep you engaged for both nines. I thoroughly enjoyed the layout with the par-3, fourth hole being one of the prettiest par-3's that I have ever played. For the price, the course conditions were good. Overall the greens were a little shaggy, but very playable. The fairways were thin, but also very playable. It was a wonderful day of golf and I definitely would return.
Greens to be cut once in a while, Please!!
First time player here. Joined the three others for a good time. This course had VERY slow greens, were shaggy today and I expect were a week since they were last cut at least. We were a foursome and let the twosome play through us. We had a talk with them and they advised they play here regularly and they advised the pin placements were the same position for the last week.
Just needs some gas in the mower and someone to cut the green probably a 5 on the stimp meter. The green fee rate was good and the pro shop staff were wonderful. Please realize that this is now a nine hole course and you play different tees for each nine. Not sure I will travel the hour to get there again. There are no rakes on the carts or in the traps. Very unique course where the golf ball has to travels over top and across an operating water ski school. This is a first , I have never seen a sign on a golf course that states "All golfers are liable for damages to boats and or injuries to skiers, Please use caution". Overall I give the course a 3 star out of 5 rating.
Beautiful half of a course
I really enjoy playing here. I just wish they would call it a 9 hole course. It's the front 9 played twice. Greens are in fuzzy shape. Slow, takes a few holes to figure out. No rakes in bunkers. Staff or owners in pro shop need to appreciate the people that give them $ instead of talking down to patrons. For the minute it takes to interact with them, it's worth playing!
Crazy, hostile manager/owner
Stay away from this course. The owner manager threatened me and was way out of control when I asked a question about my reservation. He has a reputation of blowing up and threatening customers unnecessarily.
Swiss Valley
Staff was very friendly and this will be a nice course when they return to 18 holes. Has a few challenging and interesting holes but with it only being 9 holes it is very slow.
