Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club features a scenic and environmentally friendly golf course designed by Arthur Hills. Situated in the heart of New Tampa, the golf course is a picturesque getaway. There are many challenging features to test players of all skill levels, including water hazards that come into play on ten holes and strategically placed bunkers throughout. Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club's signature hole is the par-3 17th, which requires a tee shot over an expansive body of water to a green that is protected by two bunkers on the left side. In addition to the golf course, Tampa Palms also offers a driving range and a putting green for golfers to use.

First Class Course

The staff at Tampa palms golf club made me feel welcome from the very moment I stepped out of my vehicle. The extensive pro shop has everything you would need on a golf course and the attendance were very courteous. The practice facilities are very nice, putting green rolled well and the driving range was OK except for the fact that we were hitting right into the sun. My playing partners and I decided to play from the tips which proved to be challenging because of the narrow chutes you have to hit through on several tea boxes. Some of the back tees we’re not in the greatest of shape but that is literally all I could say negative about the conditions. The greens Road phenomenally, the bunkers were plush and well-kept, and the fairways were lush and blemish free. My experience it at Tampa palms was a very good one and I look forward to the next time I get to play the course. Beautiful course in great condition !

Played this course Wednesday at 10:15 am with the wife and another couple using our Club Corp privileges. The driving range was a bit of a disappointment - very narrow range with nets lining both sides, hitting off mats, and range balls pretty shoddy. However ,once we got on the course, we forgot about all of that. The course is lined with trees / brush and most of the holes are isolated from the rest. The fairways were lush - almost to a fault as you don’t get much run out from your tee shot. This makes the course play longer than the stated yardage. The bunkers were consistent and well maintained. The greens were a decent speed - looked like they were recovering a bit from a recent aeration / top dressing but still rolled nicely. Pace of play was excellent as we played in right at 4 hours even with a couple of high handicappers in the group. I would rate this course slightly higher than East Lake Woodlands North course.which is also Club Corp. Go play if you are in the area!

Played as a guest

Just played this course 2 days ago and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were courteous and friendly. The Practice areas were nice also. The course itself was beautiful. Being in a crowded part of Tampa, while you're out there on the course you wouldn't know it. Some houses but not as many as you would usually see on a course in the middle of Tampa. The fairways were plush and it was like hitting off a mat, the greens rolled true and were about a 10.5. Holes were challenging but not impossible, lots of fairways you won't need your driver. Great views and a great course, a must play!

Play this tough course & enjoy

This is a tough, well conditioned course. Play any tee and you will need your "A" game. Good signs from hole-hole; beverage cart; water stations - Greens in excellent shape and FAST - fairways and bunkers excellent throughout - A lot of water in play - Driving range --use matts for irons, excellent putting green, greeted upon arrival, well stocked pro shop - GO PLAY

Home Club

I joined here a few months back and really enjoy this course and the facilities offered. As a competitive player who has the privilege to play some top notch courses, my standards are fairly high. Tampa Palms has definitely met my expectations. The course layout is difficult and for an errant power hitter, it likely plays difficult than the 73.6 rating (the Golf Advisor rating is inaccurate). The greens are pretty small, so ball-striking is at a premium. The greens always roll very true (usually close to a 10 on the stimp) and are pretty close to tour quality. With the nearly all the wooded areas adjacent to the fairways being swamp, it's imperative to keep your ball in play off the tee as there is no way you'll be playing out of the woods.

As for the staff, the cart staff is great and very helpful. They are exceedingly polite and thoughtful in getting you prepared for your tee time. The pro-shop staff (particularly the 3 professionals), on the other hand, are relatively brief and impersonal. Simply put, they are very short and seemingly not concerned with building rapport with the members and guests.
