Just Bad
Not worth the money. Pace of play is pathetic, 6-7 hours for a round of over priced golf. Poorly run establishment from the bottom to the top!!
I was told 20+ year members can do whatever they want, play in 5-6 sums, take 30+ mins for one par 3 hole, no problem for them. If this sounds like your kind place come on over.
Fairways and tee boxes were green , but hard /dry surface ?
Similar to Pine Ridge CC, Lake Diamond Golf & CC, & Huntington GC.
2:30 tee time w/ wife for $17.10/ea direct thru courses' web site. Set in subdivision. Driest course I played during Sarasota vacation, still some wet areas needed to be avoided. Mostly tree lined w/ wide tee shot landing areas. By no means a pristine course but in decent shape & challenging. Tee boxes & fairways plush. Slightly elevated green not in great shape, some bad areas, but pins were placed so putts rolled true. Medium paced. Gas powered carts w/ windshield but no rain cover in back. Currently club house only selling drinks, no food. Is part of Rotonda G& CC now & is a Par 70 course
Where are the Rangers?
Very nice course, best conditions we have played in the area so far. Everything in great shape. Good layout.
But could use some Rangers out on the course moving things along. Seemed to be huge backlog at first and then had to wait for every shot. Most of the Par 3's were backed up with 2 and 3 groups waiting. Painfully slow.
Back 9 much quicker, but some better policing to speed up play would have made for a much more enjoyable round.
Would give it another go though...very good course otherwise. =-)
Best greens in Rotonda
The par is not 65, it is 70. The course conditions have improved greatly in the past two years. Fairways still need to grow in more but the tees and greens are great.
