Enjoyable course
Conditions are great, as is the layout. Pace of play was not great behind a five some.
Great challenging course
Very beautiful scenic course. Greens recently aerated so a little Sandy and bumpy. Overall, one of the best courses around here
played this course in under 4 hours!
we picked up this hot deal on Golfnow last minute yesterday. the skies were grey and threatening to shower but we took our chances. we got to play Creekside first and Canyon second. Usually creekside is reserved for members but tgey sent us out there anyway. it was awesome! Nobody to be seen for miles! We powered through the front 9 in less than 2 hours and the same pn the back 9. we had 2 birdies and a par on the last par 5 finishing hole too! overall, an awesome day and an awesome golf course!
Nice Challenging Course
For a bogey golfer that plays once a month, it was very challenging but enjoyable. Needed to use all my clubs for a changed. Except for the fairways being brown due to water conservation, the course was in excellent condition. This is a wonderful course and would like to return again.
Great track and more
Only got to play 8 holes on valley ridge, but fell and gashed my leg, ( my dumb move) the boy's at the club did everything in their power to get me out fast and on my way to the doctor, you never know when weird things will happen but these dudes care about the course and the people who play there.
It doesn't get any better in Ventura county
Stunning course, but a bit pricey
First time at this course, but have to say it was absolutely stunning. Definitely not my best day playing, but the scenery made it tolerable. If it's windy, be prepared!
Beautiful setting... challenging course...
People are wonderful. It’s fun to have 3 different 9 hole courses. Views are spectacular. My one recommendation would be to get rid of the speed bumps on Creekside. They are really annoying and not necessary.
What a great course
Course is in great shape, greens are rolling smooth and fast. Staff was great. Pace of play was good. Will be back soon
Great layouts
Drought has done a number on greens. Multiple grasses and speeds. Inadequate drainage in certain low spots on greens has caused greens to become sandy and lacking coverage. Some spots green rolls true others not so much. They are still putt able but need attention if not they won’t be.
Good with Attitude
The course was great, The starter has a bad attitude towards golfers that are not members and is very rude. He wants to show that he is in control. All I wanted to do was put my clubs on a cart by the starters stand and he jumped all over me.
where's the marshall ?
nice course, needs a liitle work on greens and tees, but other wise fine. Played where we had two foursomes in front, that were constantly playing two-three balls, not just from the tees but from all over. And to top it off they would take forever lining up their putts. I mean taking three angles on each putt, ....they're shooting 100+. We needed a marshall to help us, and the group behind us, to speed up play. Saw the refreshment cart 5-6 times but never a marshall.
Perfect Experience
Had a great time golfing here. We showed up 10 minutes before our tee time, which was later than we wanted, but we were from out of town. Milton the starter was the nicest starter I have ever experienced. Since we were running a little late, he told us to hit some complimentary range balls to calm down and relax before our round. He also gave us detailed outlines of each of the 3 9 hole courses at the club. He sent us out on the middle difficult course, the ridgeline, which took you up and down the surrounding mountains. It was beautiful and of course it was challenging keeping the ball in play on the ridges. For the back nine, he advised us to play the Canyon, which was the easiest of the 3, but still challenging, and of course beautiful too. He also told us that the course is known for being very quiet and peaceful, which was exactly the case, could hear other golfers talking at normal levels across other canyons. Which wasn't annoying, but neat that it was that quiet. Course was in fantastic condition for being in the middle of winter, but I am not from here, so I don't know what normal conditions are. Greens were fast, but not too fast. Fairways, tee boxes, and rough were in great shape and green! Bunkers were raked and very playable. Overall had a great time, even recorded my first hole in one on hole 3 on the Canyon! Would recommend everyone to play at least two of the three nines here. Will definitely play here again if I am in town. The round took us about 4 hours, which is neither fast or slow, considering the time just looking at your surroundings.
Did not play and a Golf Now refuses to refund my $ as I was 3 minutes late
I attempted to play the course by driving up from my residence which was about 24 minutes from the course. It was really windy my whole drive up and was hoping maybe it was less windy at the course. It was not and I attempted to cancel my tee time but was late 3 minutes. I was nit going to play under those conditions. To this moment Golf Now has refused to refund my $59 as a VIP member! Believe me I know their policy now
Beautiful Course!
One of the best courses in the area. Beautifully maintained. Some really beautiful elevated holes that make for fun shots. The greens roll fast and smoothe. Definitely a course you want to play with someone who knows it because of hidden pin placements and to get a better knowledge of yardage. You can get in trouble very quickly. All in all, one of the best rounds I’ve had in a long time in LA.
Incredible
This is the best bang for your buck in la. No doubt about it. It's incredible. Greens are pristine
