Bad condition and too expensive.
The layout was a good idea, but the very bad maintenance makes this golf course one of the worst I’ve ever played. The “normal” fee is 145usd and off course it’s not worth it. Just think about which golf course you can play for that amount of money in your home area. Won’t play this course ever again.
Great layout, poor upkeep and not a good value
I’m a 14 hcp and golf 40 rounds per year.
Cost for the course weekdays is $120 USD, Thursday is 2:1, twighlight 2pm is $65 USD, includes cart, a caddie is 340 pesos, you can do dollar/peso conversion.
Visually the course looks great, with many interesting holes, elevated greens and very challenging par 3’s. I played from blue tee boxes which were 5,800 yards, white were 5,600.
My caddie, Miguel was great, I used a caddie first round any subsequent rounds i wont need one.
The course is not well kept up; tee boxes have long grass, fairways are long grass too .....which inhibits drives from rolling any appreciative distance. The greens are slow and bumpy. There is no sand in bunkers they are more like concrete, not even raked, if I play there again, I will play them as GUR and play them as point of entry.
I’m going to try Club SANTIAGO and see if its an improvement.
In Canada and USA if you pay $120 USD expectation is a GREAT course, even for $65 USD you would expect better than this, I’m surprised members and guests don’t complain....I guess its time for a margarita!! :-)
