Reviews
glen
one of the nicest courses we have played this year, in immaculate condition, staff was great, Steve the Ranger was very nice and accommodating
Glen Eagle Fun? Well kind of!
First impressions are everything! After just arriving and walking into the clubhouse to pay our greens fees the first words we hear are “tuck your shirt n”. How’s that for a welcome? Not a high not a welcome and not even a “ oh by the way”, but rather a “ tuck your shirt in” from an unpleasant staff member. Like really?. We just arrived and weren’t even golfing yet.
Good news is he was the only super miserable person we met, but enough for us to say no thanks, don’t need the attitude.
Course is very short, with some shot placement holes but not really challenging. Traps were not racked and lots of water on the course but nothing you can do about that. For the money is way overpriced but ok for the fun factor. Won’t be back based on the rude guy to start our day. In summary it was just ok. Many better options out there.

Golf Now should revamp or update their members if a course you are booking is preforming maintenance to the grounds... we had to play the back 9 twice and I either didn’t read the fine print or wasn’t advised before booking....... Not a huge deal but I think it’s a curtesy to
Inform golfers.
Fantastic!
Got a great Golfnow rate and went out as a twosome. Carts now have GPS and that was a nice treat. The course is not long, so I played from the 2nd tees for 5300 yards. It was okay except for the par 3s that were quite long for women. I just used the longest club I had. Fairways were wide and greens were smooth. Fame started falling apart when it started raining and we teamed up with another twosome. So getting wet and slowing down screwed up my rhythm. Oh well. The Marshall came out and gave us cold towels, just like another reviewer had stated. It was quite enjoyable, as it was a muggy day even at 0930 when we teed off. I will definitely be back.
Excellent course
Excellent course - requires hitting landing areas - course is well maintained - top notch
Great Round at Glen Eagle
Glen Eagle is a fun layout that has solid challenge for a short yardage track. The staff is very friendly and ready to help get your round started. The Marshall comes around with cold towels which was helpful since the weather was hot. The greens are true and fairly quick. They have been working on the tee boxes, but their condition was good on the two days that I played. It is par 70 and the par 5 holes are short, but the par 3 holes are fun. The parking is secure and everything is well maintained. I play there on every visit to Naples.
Glen Eagle: Thumbs Up
Thunderstorms washed away my tee time on Tuesday but I got on half the course Wednesday. Had to play front nine twice but it was my first visit so did not matter one bit. This well-kept private course plays short yet features doglegs and fast greens I found fun to negotiate. It can be a forgiving course if you choose your clubs wisely; the GPS tablet on the cart helped a lot in that regard. Worth noting is friendly staff but no beverage cart. Recommended.
Great course
The personnel, from check in and beyond was a great experience.
Beautiful course with professional charm
Awesome
One of the best courses I’ve played down here in Naples , Kind of a tricky Course to Kind of a tricky Corus to get to some of the holes but well worth it
I highly recommend it
Amazing!
I'm not a member but I was welcome and treated like one. And the course was in a amazing shape. Wow!
A little gem spoiled by selfish golfers
My wife and I were really looking forward to having a second round at Glen Eagle with another friend. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and the course, whilst not long, is quite tight with a good variety of holes providing a real challenge.
Sadly, we caught up with a four ball on the 3rd. They had teed off over 20 minutes before us. We then had to wait on every tee and fairway whilst the group ahead spent more time fishing for balls than golfing. It was only on the 10th tee when we arrived to find one guy cleaning his hawked balls that one of the group said “you appear to be in a hurry so you’d better play through”. Maybe it was wrong of me to say “thanks, we’re playing golf not fishing” but there was no excuse for the boorish aggressive and rude responses from one of the group. Maybe he was frustrated at his playing partners hawking antics but any experienced golfer should have called us through sooner.
We reported the incident to the marshal when we finished and he agreed to have a word. Mind you at this point the football were almost 4 holes behind us!
We’ve played the course again today and it was a total joy (again) and we’d recommend it to all standards of golfer.
Nice compact course with good variety of holes
Our welcome at the bag drop was a little frosty but that was the only downside. We really enjoyed our round and we topped it off with a lovely meal in the clubhouse. The course was in great condition and, whilst not long, it presented a decent challenge with the holes being different in nature.
