About
Vista Vallarta Golf Club offers two championship courses, one designed by Jack Nicklaus and the other by Tom Weiskopf. The Weiskopf Course provides a dramatically different round from the Nicklaus design. The other golf course sits atop the property's highest elevation while this one is situated at the lower west end. As you step onto the course and see the dense jungles that sprawl across deep ravines, you will hardly believe that it is still the same property. It offers the same level of challenge as the Nicklaus Course but some high handicappers prefer this one since there are fewer blind shots and the greens are more receptive, making them not quite as tricky. The 15th is an uphill par 3 that is probably the golf course's most memorable hole. This challenging hole requires a carry past a ravine to multi-tiered green that is surrounded by bunkers on all sides.

Great views snd elevation
We played Nicklaus and are very familiar with his courses. Liked the challenging elevations, abundant bunkers and up and downhill approach shots..
Most enjoyable of the Vallarta courses. We will definitely return.0
Vista Vallarta- Weiskopf Course
Played at Vista for the second day running. The off course facilities I’ve raced about on my previous review and it didn’t disappoint this time either. They had stored our clubs, cleaned them and had our buggy (cart) ready for us on arrival. You can also order food and they will deliver it to you on course if you want. Can’t fault the service at all.
On to the course. We were told it was a better challenge than the Nicklaus and it probably is due to the narrowness of the course interspersed with the surrounding jungle but it isn’t as good in my opinion. This may have been down to it being my 7th round in ten days so tiredness was certainly involved. There are 3-4 wonderful looking holes and certainly worth playing.
Play both if you can but if it’s a choice of either, I would take the Nicklaus.

Such a great time. Nobody in front or behind us. Finished in 3 hours. Immaculate conditions. Will definitely play here again.
Best course in PV!
Played Weiskof. Love it. 2nd time and nowhere in PV compares. Course wet so no roll but helps hold on the greens. Passed a twosome as single and done in 2 1/2 hours. Rentals nice too. Can’t wait to come back, only reason to golf in PV! Staff super friendly, saw Blanca the cart girl 4-5 times and super nice! If closer to resorts would play 3-4 times in a week. Bit pricey but worth it on Hot Deal—but stay hydrated!
Gem of a course
The back 9 at Vista Vallarta - Weiskopf is the most scenic 9 in Vallarta in my opinion. The greens are easier than the Nicolas course for sure...ideal for people who shoot 80-100. I usually don't have people in front or behind me when I play Weiskopf in the afternoons. Great course, enjoy, but part of me hopes this place remains a secret!

Fun, open, and easy to play course. Very good condition with greens immaculate and fast. We enjoyed this course more than the Nicklaus course and much better value.

Best offering in PV
We played 1 day after the Adidas Pro Am. The course is fantastic. We had played Marina Vallarta, El Tigre and Vidanta earlier. The Weisfopf course was the best of the bunch. The course is located closer to the mountains and the topography is much more interesting. The course has some nice elevation changes and a number of arroyos and gulches to play over. The condition was very good and greens rolled well with the grain on every green growing toward the ocean. We were the only ones there and played comfortably in 2:45. We would play here again, I think the place is deserted due to the price. Hot deal was 125 + tax US
