Olympia Hills Golf Course
About
Olympia Hills Golf Course is very exciting and enhances San Antonio's reputation as a golf destination. A unique combination of natural topography and man-made mounds and bunkers make this a super course. Native South Texas vegetation and golf course grass seed formulations on fairways and greens will provide state-of-the-game playing surfaces. The views are spectacular, with several holes playing to greens well below the tees, while other lead to a significant rise to reach the putting surface. Fairways, which on some holes are tight, are often sloped and guarded by bunkers. The tips will not be played by the faint hearted, but with four sets of tee boxes, the course can be enjoyed by all levels of players.

Management Sucks
Frost delay. No update by email. 7 hrs to play 15 holes. Greens suck badly. Bunkers full of water, no rain in 4 days. Money should have been refunded. Nice layout.
Tee boxes are fantastic!
Since they over seeded for the winter the tee boxes are the best in town. The couse is in great shape for wintertime playing. The staff is friendly and the food is great too. This couse is one of my favorites.
Don’t waste your time
Booked online for $55 and at the course they charge $63 because of taxes and fees that aren’t disclosed. Showed up to the first tee with 3 other groups and the starter had no clue what he was doing. Couldn’t remember anyones name or cart number to get groups out. Bar staff saved the day for us and were super helpful.
Nice tee boxes and fairways. Greens need some help
Course is medium hard but forgiving on some of the holes. Par 3’s are long compared to other courses. Tee boxes are in good shape. Fairways are short grass but common for fall conditions. Greens however need some work. They are well worn and thin grass allows mud and shoe prints into the play making reading green impossible. I’d just assume 2 putt and move on if not sunk in two.
For the love of the game.
I love playing golf. It's a humbling game. I've learned that you can not be in a rush. Patience is important. Saying that, pace of play is an issue for some folks at this course. I reside in Florida and was in Texas for a few days. I can not compare Florida golf to Texas golf. Pace of play was 45 minutes behind. I was not in a rush so it didn't bother me.
The track layout was nice. Conditions were not top tier but it was ok. Staff wasn't the friendliest.
For the price it was good. I had gotten a hot deal and had a coupon. If I had paid full price I wouldn't have had as good attitude about it.
I wouldn't recommend this course to my friends and will not be heading back here as a paying customer. If it was a complimentary round then I would play it for sure. You get what you pay for.
If you are an experienced lower handicap golfer stay away from this track. Higher handicap new golfers this is the place for you.
Course is a little over priced. Play is to slow. Should not allow five players. Marshall needs to do a better job of monitoring.. Especially when group of three and two or stuck playing behind.
AWESOME COURSE!
Only been playing for 3 months and was a great course. Beautiful Par 3 with the drop down view came an inch n half away from a HOLE-IN-ONE but came out with a birdie. Look forward to more future visits
Will Play Here Again
My entire group was impressed with the course layout and challenge. I’m a 15 hdcp and thought the course offered a nice challenge without beating you up. For the money, this is a good value in the San Antonio area, but the greens do need some work. The employees were all very nice and is the main reason I will come back.
Love the course
My son in law, my pastor and my old friend play here almost every Monday throughout the year. The course gives good challenges, the layout is great. Also love the wildlife.
Love playing at your course.
Course conditions
Some of the holes are not in good condition most specifically hole # 1.Most bunkers are muddy and with water..Management should make an effort to improve this conditions.
Good course
Good course, not much direction for a 1 st time visitor at the course.. had a cart issue on the course and it was handled in a timely manor
Over watered greens were super soggy
They definitely need to space out the tee times because this Friday was way over crowded. They ran out of carts so plenty of people were complaining they had to walk down to the practice area.
Carts were not being delivered until 5 min after supposed tee time.
When you did start playing it was a hit & wait fbecause there were 3 groups on each hole.
2 playing partners had never played here & they will never come back because it took 45 min to play the first 2 holes.
The greens were so over watered that balls were cratering upon landing and there were spike marks and ball marks all over every green. They were mushy and slow. The greens definitely need to be re-done; there are weeds growing on every single one. Cart girl only passed by twice the whole round.
There was also a wedding so we had to drive reverse upon ending and disturbed every group we passed plus added more time to our 5+ hour round. There needs to be major changes.
