Course in POOR condition
I am not an avid golfer by any means. I love to get out in the fresh air and green grass and enjoy the game.
Air was definitely fresh but the course condition was terrible. Grass was yellow and burnt looking NOT green at all. Fairways were literally like hard surface - did cause a great roll for those bad shots. I would not recommend
WATER WATER WATER
I will never play again
Walked in the club house, said hello and was Immediately asked if I was the GolfNow app reservation. Said yes ,then I was told I had to sit next to a strange in the golf cart as they didn’t have Enough for the day! I said no I don’t want to ride with a stranger . I have never in my life been told I had to ride with some random person at a golf club! I said I will walk. They had to check with the GM if I was able to walk . This place doesn’t have a clue how to run a golf course Let alone a business. Never again.!!!!! After walking the front 9. I saw they had about 15 cart sitting at the club houses . Pooooor management….. and way over priced as the course is falling apart.
Challenging yet fair
Since arriving in Naples, I’ve played Riviera 3 times. Yes the fairways and rough are similar and the greens are “furry,” but the cost vs. playability factor are equal. Can’t think of another Naples course that I can play for $50 (18 holes /cart) during prime time. I’ll return as often as I can.
Never Again
I would not play this cow patch ever again. It is an executive course with more par 3's than anything else. The grass on greens are so long and the fairway needs some grass on it.
Golfing in a cow pasture
This course needs a lot of attention. The SAND/GREENS are terrible, I understand this is a public course, but it's a shame the owner isn't putting anything into it, especially since I believe it's for sale..
Good Beginningers course
Girl at desk in Golf Shop friendly and accommodating. Very clear explanations. Too many people waiting in line. Course was in rough shape when we. played. Holes too short sandwiched in between tightly packed dwellings. Good for kids and beginners.
Not worth playing
This course was very poorly maintained. The tee boxes were bumpy ans sometimes hard to find level ground. Add two strokes to every hole because the greens were so poorly maintained. Long grass, sand holes, bare spots.
Worst course I have played in 55 years.
Course was in horrible condition. Pass of play was slowwwwwww. No food in the club house. They ran out of buns. You get what you pay for in Naples Florida. If you want to play a dog track, this is your place.
Fun Time
Course is older, and shows a lot of wear and tear. Tee's had very little grass, and greens had some bare spots. It was exactly what we expected. Nice staff, friendly players, in front, and behind us. We ahd a great time, and will play here again. It is not a Course for a "serious" golfer, but highly recommended for having some fun.
Value
It’s not a $150 course but then again We only paid $40. Great value ! It was fun!
Nice round
Nice round for warming up after a couple of weeks off.
Was able to use the driver and fairway woods on a couple holes. Greens were in toughest shape. Kim was very friendly in the clubhouse.
Not Well Maintained
The only positive that I can say about my experience at Riveria Golf was the electric golf cart worked great. The bad experience started on the putting green which had not been cut in a long time. The greens appeared to have but cut within the last week. Many of the greens had sandy areas on them which made it impossible to putt through. The tee box conditions were as bad as the greens. Very disappointed in my experience. Would have been better off to go to a driving range instead of paying my hard earned money for this course.
Golf Club????????
We were informed by the team that Riviera Golf Club was an executive course with a nice layout, just needing a little TLC. A better description would be a nicely mowed pasture, good layout, that no executive would be found on. The course actually needs a significant amount of TLC, not just watering the weeds and throwing sand in all the dead grass & holes.
I would suggest not investing your time or money in the course; as it does not look like the club is reinvesting course income in the course.
Sad day for golfers of any level.
