Challenging and fun
Played as a threesome and finished in about 3 hours. One of us had an 86 at Fox Hollow 2 days before and had the same score here.
Improving
River Ridge has come a long way.. Their greens are starting to improve, but as it sits now, it is tough to play on.
Not the best!
The greens were terrible. More weeds than grass. Cart paths have seen better days, as well. Money needs to be spent to bring the course up to acceptable standards. But the price was right!
Tee to green then take 2 putts
The greens are sooooo bad. You can't even call them greens. There is nothing but weeds & bare spots on every green.
Such a shame cause it is a nice layout.
Short and Tight
Short yardage does not mean an easy course, the fairways are very tight with lots of trouble and the greens are small. Very challenging for the first time I played.
Don't Waste your time
My wife and I played on Feb 12th. 3 some in front were so slow, and the greens on the front 9 were so so bad.
Rough Shape
This course is in pretty rough shape. Last year we played this course for quite a bit less so I didn't mind the conditions. This year the price is higher and conditions are worse. Women's tee's are ridiculously short. I play from from the men's tees which are a little longer. Still some challenging holes. Staff is super nice!!! Always feel welcomed when I play here.

Course needs lots of work.
We played the course on December 30/15, The nicest thing about this course was the nice lady at the Pro Shop. It was downhill from there. The tee boxes and greens need lots of work. The greens go from brown to patchy green spots throughout every hole. The marshals for slow play are non existant. The tee decks are in brutal shape. So in general, there are many other places to spend your money. Do it!
Need to know course layout.
The course has hidden hazards and greens. You need to know the layout in order to score.
Backs onto conservation area with lots of water and trees
The course is good for tuning up your short game but not very challenging if you are out for a competitive game of golf. Scenery is magnificent and staff are awesome.
There are much better courses in the area
Played this course due to the cheap price, bad idea. The course is not well maintained at all. Will not play this one again.
River Prairie
Have played this many times over the years when I visit my parents. The Greens are in horrendous shape and are Luke putting on a shag carpet. Tee Boxes not marked and beat up This course would rank 0-1 on a 1-10 scale
Desperately needs TLC
This course looks like it is not being maintained at all. Needs better signage and the yardage seems way off! Greens and Tees in bad shape.
Low price, but course needs work
Overall, we got what we paid for. Nicely designed course that is in need of some attention. Tee boxes and greens are in rough shape. Fairways are a bit better, but not much. Not sure if it's just because of the slow summer season, or if something else is the issue, but it could be a very nice course with a little work.

the course is in good shape. the sand traps could use more sand. the greens rolled well and the fairways were pretty good. some of the tee boxes could use more attention.. this is a fun course that can require accuracy. will play again soon

I've played this course many times since 2004 but yesterday might have been my last time. We were annoyed by the starter/ranger for 18 holes with only 10 people on the entire course. I've been playing Golf for 50yrs and was insulted at the way he spoke to us.
