Lots of potential
The layout was great. The greens do need some work, and a little TLC on the fairways, but I would for sure play it again when I'm down. A pretty good value for the price. The staff was also a solid 9 out of 10...
Great Time
You can’t beat this course for the money and with that being said, its condition is on par with other courses in and around Bay County, not bad at all. I’ve played this course several times and the course continues to improve. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and I will be back. Had a great time, Thanks.
Save your money vacation-goers
If you are on vacation near the area, save your money and keep the clubs at home. Not one aspect of this place is worth the money spent. Could only get through 6 in 1 1/2 hours due to people walking the course and being stingy. Sand everywhere from tee box to the greens and everywhere in-between. Pro-shop employee Jordan cancelled my tee time a day before, while guaranteeing I could have a free round on them during the week. Walked in and didn’t have anything registered and was made to pay my way, even though I had my initial tee-time cancelled with receipts. Someone with some capital and know-how should move in close and take their business; as they only cater to members.
Awful greens and sandy fairways
Although the price was reasonable the course is in bad shape. Most fairways were a mixture of mud, grass, and sand which lead to poor lies even in the fairways. Price although reasonable still should have been lower.
Only course within 60+ min drive
The fairways are hard pan and/or mud in many places. Greens are in very poor condition. Very expensive considering the shape it is in. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Wet conditions
Honestly it was ok. They need to work on the greens. Looks like they are doing some sprinkler upgrades. The clubhouse is ok. I would play somewhere else before here again.
Lost most trees - 2018 hurricane ?
Even if the fairways were tree-lined, I don’t think this flat track would interest most golfers..The greens were pathetic. Legacy is poor value ; this is worse. Nicklaus Bay Point is the only course in the area worth the money re layout and condition.
Decent Track !
Friendly staff - fore giving fairways, decent greens. New irrigation should improve whole course, especially the tee blocks.l’d rather play St. Joe’s at $50 than Legacy at $100+. Restaurant - interesting menu, great food !
Pleasant, friendly visit to the forgotten coast
I tire of the golf selection in the PCB area, not many choices and not the value either.
I now have another choice in St Joseph Bay GC.
I didn't realize that they were on EST, but no worries, the staff was super friendly and accommodating.
The greens were fair, fairways were slightly better. Around the greens presented a challenge in the tight lies, especially in a few wet spots.
Overall, it was a nice track for about half the cost of some others I have played in PCB.
POOR CONDITIONS
Tee boxes were 80% sand, and not smoothed out. Teeing off was like taking a stance in a bunker. Fairways were mowed, but lots of bare patches and flooded out areas. Greens were not smooth, with patchy grass and green sand employed to make it look like a putting surface. Flooded areas on greens had little waves of accumulated grass....no one bothered to try to smooth those out. In sum, about the worst conditions I've ever played in.
Waste of money.
I’ve played this course before and it’s never been in good shape but after this last time playing I won’t be back. You can tell no time or money is put into this course. Most greens just dirt and sand and fairways bare .To charge what they want to play there is way too much.
Course closed
Booked a tee time two days ago and arrived to the course with sunny conditions and clear skys to find out it is closed. Alittle heads up would’ve been nice since it’s an hour drive to get to the course. Interesting the Golf Now still showing available tee times even though the course is closed. Lack of communication is a product killer.
