Summerfield Crossings Golf Club
About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

Wonder what this course is like peak season..
Played a round with the boys after a 36 hour rain shower. Weather was great after the rain - 75 and sunny. Overall the course conditions were good. Front 9 was a little wet but the back 9 was pretty dry. Staff was very friendly and pace of play wasn’t an issue. Cart girl made her loops and saw us 3-4 times during our round. I’d recommend this course even after a rainy day. Would love to see what it’s like during peak season since I t’s got some fun holes.
WORST pace of play ever.
I’ve never written a review before, but this round was that bad. 3 hours for 8 holes of golf with two people… would never recommend to a friend solely for this reason. 7 minute interval tee times and NO starter. Please fix this.
Pace of Play
Had to leave after 14 because we were already at 4:15 and still had 4 holes to play. Come on Summerfield, you can do better.
Slow pace
Had to wait over 30 minutes at tee boxes. Played only 9 holes ran out of time
Pace of play painfully slow
Great course layout. They have put a lot of money into this place and it shows. But they need to get a ranger on the course to move the play along. They’re over booking the course. There weren’t any carts available today 5 minutes before our tee time. When I went to the starter to check on a cart they gave the last one to a group scheduled to tee off a half hour after my group. We were backed up 10 carts deep at hole #3. Miraculously most people called it a day after 9 holes and we finished the back 9 in about an hour and half after taking 3.5 hours on the front 9.
BECOMING A FAVORITE
COURSE IS GETTING ON MY TOP LIST FOR FLORIDA. I LIVE IN THE CHICAGO AREA. NEW DRIVING RANGE IS GREAT. NOT SURE IF TRUE BUT I WAS TOLD THAT NEW SHORT GAME AREA WILL BE RESTRICTED TO SOME PLAYERS. I THINK THAT A BAD CHOICE. I ALSO THINK GREENS SHOULD BE ROLLED MORE OFTEN.
Slow Play
Played this course on the 3rd Feb. It was brutal. Only got to play 9 holes, which took just over 4 hours. No marshal, 3 groups on one t box. Players who hit the ball approximately 200 yards playing from the tips.
Greens are too shaved, no reaction for grip on wedge shots.
Wonderful staff, and driving range. Hope the putting green would be ready soon..
5 1/2 hour round!!!
If you like death march speed golf & fairways full of divots....this is the course for you!!! After 2 hours to play 6 holes, & having FOUR, yes FOUR groups on the same hole, called the clubhouse & asked for a ranger to be sent out....was blown off, girl said "we're busy today"!!. I understand busy & crowded courses during the season, but since groups went off 1 st tee waiting for proceeding group to reach the green, OBVIOUSLY there was a group out there in front playing dreadfully slow, backing up the entire course!!! No ranger was ever seen. Ironically, played here 2 weeks prior, and played a foursome in just under 4 hours!! Its a nice course with a GREAT layout, nice fast greens & for the most part, in pretty good shape. Unfortunately, like most courses these days, no one fills their divots. Me & my partner went through 4 buckets of sand while waiting for every shot. As an aside, when played here 2 weeks ago, went through both buckets of sand, and when making the turn, asked the cart attendant for more sand. He rudely said...."there's a box around back, help yourself". Really dude!! I'm IMPROVING your course, and you treat me like crap!!! While I give the course a pass on the divots ( cant police rude players), owners/management need to address lack of Marshall monitoring play. 4 1/2 hours should be the ultimate max for a round of golf. Obviously they dont care & its all about the almighty dollar. A shame, a truly nice golf course. Doubt I'll be back.
VERY NICE
LIKED EVERYTHING ABOUT COURSE. GREENS AND FAIRWAY WERE VERY GOOD. GOOD LAYOUT. CANT WAIT FOR GRASS DRIVING RANGE TO OPEN AS WELL NEWLY RENOVATED SHORT GAME AREA.
Golf
Hadn’t played here for 3 years. Obvious upgrades noted. Greens fast, true and nice. Turf decent, tees good. Looks like new putting and chipping areas and upgraded practice area coming soon. Can tell they are improving the course. Also note gps in cart
Nice course
The course was in nice shape. A mix of water holes and tree lined holes. Nice layout. I enjoyed the course.
