Golf Oasis in NE GA.
Love this course! Layout is fantastic and a challenge for golfers of any handicap. Staff is super friendly. At one time this was the best kept secret in NE GA golf. No longer. Worth the drive from ATL!
Chimney Oaks May 2024
Course conditions and layout are awesome and staff is very friendly and helpful. Pace of play was terrible. A foursome was holding everyone up and would not allow anyone to play through.
Slow play and members only moron
This review is for this round only. Played here a dozen times. Never has there been any issue whatsoever. In fact, top to bottom, this is the best public course I have played in the upstate SC northeast GA area. Today unfortunately it was way to busy for a Tuesday and slowplay by groups ahead who were out of town first timers and not very good golfers caused a logjam resulting in a 6 hour and 10 minute round of golf. This was compounded by one entitled member group that decided to skip ahead and get between us and the group in front of us and when questioned dude said Byron told him he could and that he was a member. First off I don't care about him being a member. That does not give you special privileges to act like a fool and forego any proper golf etiquette. My money spends just the same and the only reason I'm not a member is by choice. I enjoy playing different courses. In fact I would venture to say I spend more money as a non member than this idiot does as a member. Secondly, he threw Byron's name out like I'm supposed to know who that is. Found out later after contacting the staff that Byron is the club pro here. Pretty sure a club pro would not give anyone permission to skip ahead intentionally holding up a group that's already waiting. As I said this is a one time thing that happened and this golf course is exceptional. Will be back. Next time I will ask to speak to Byron.
Always a great round
Played on Saturday, 4/20, in the afternoon. A slow day, 4 1/2 hour round, but that’s why you play golf with people you like. Course in great shape and will only get better as the Bermuda takes off with hot weather. Love playing here, our go-to first choice.
Always Great
Fun course. Great staff. Went out of their way to salvage my clubs i left in parking lot. Thank you!!!
Fantastic
Course was in excellent shape, especially for early spring.
Slow play
This course has poor habits of allowing other golfers to cut in front of you, teed off on nbr 1 behind a three platters, so took it slow so I would not catch up. Suddenly on nbr 4 a group of 6 with 4 carts was playing it. I waited 21 minutes and finally called the golf shop. Young man told me yes a group was sent out to play due to being friends with someone the owner goes to church with? Unheard of, right. I asked for refund as my frustration was high. He could only offer rain check. I took it because I was not pleased with a potential six hour round. I drove an hour there and back for a couple holes. Really unfortunate for me as course is nice but procedures they have are poor and unreasonable
Six em-Beware!!
This is the second time a group cut in front . Today it was 6 players and 8 carts cut in on the 4th hole. This group took 21 minutes to play this par 3, all over the course! Absolutely ridiculous that this course allows this. I was so frustrated I called in and they gave me a rain check which is so disappointing.I drove and hour there and back and played 3 holes. Young kid at the desk couldn’t or had no idea what to do about this group. No leadership around to speak to. I’m sure this happens to other golfers. I will not be back and it will make no difference to them. I can only hope they read this and make changes in the future for other golfers.
Chimney Oaks
Beautifully maintained Golf Course very well manicured green consistent and fantastic, well worth the 40 minute drive
First Visit to Chimney
This was my first time playing this course. I loved the layout & design of the course. Some of the holes could be confusing which way to go. There are signs; but feel like more signage is needed.
Check in wasn’t too friendly. But cart girls were great ; Mike (teaching pro) is great!
Friendly staff and the greens were great February 6th when I played. Loved the layout
Slow but tolerable
Course is nice. Pace was okay. Booked tee time on tee off app. Normally what the app shows for you to pay at the course is accurate but at this course it is incorrect the course adds tax at the time you pay. Just thought folks should be aware of that.
Well worth the drive from Atlanta
Excellent course on a great day to have a great day. The conditions are excellent. Never saw another golfer until 17.
Temps in the 60s and rain coming and this place is wide open.
The little restaurant didn't disappoint either. We'll be back.
