Really fun gem
I started golfing a little over a year ago and played this course with a friend. We booked this course again a few weeks ago and had an entirely new appreciation for it now that we are better players. Not often that you can play an 18 hole course that focuses on par-3 play. Still very challenging. Will come back again soon. The driving range is excellent with the toptracer technology!!
Possibly the worst course I've ever played
Played Monday around 9am. Driving range is closed until until 10am on Mondays for "maintenance". No notice on their Golf Now page. I fault the course and Golf Now for that.
The course itself is awful. Completely surrounded by power lines, in play on many holes. No hole diagrams anywhere, including the score cards. Virtually no distance markers. No GPS. Almost no brakes on the cart (literally barely stopped with foot to the floor), which made the steep paths dangerous.
The tee boxes are overlapping, making it very difficult to determine which ones to hit from. Since the flags/greens aren't visible from some.of the tee boxes, it's possible to hit down the wrong fairway.
In summary, it makes sense why it was the only course available within 25 miles that morning.
Not worth it
There are far better courses for what they charge, and cheaper. This place is poorly managed (pace of play was horrendous) and poorly maintained. They pretty much cut the grass, that’s it. Charging over 40 bucks a round here is ridiculous.
Pace of play was horrible! Pro-shop didn’t care and argued about it. We didn’t finish!
We quit after 9 holes which took us 2 hours and 20 minutes for a 2 some. It’s a par 3 course…. Should never take that long. 10 minute waits or longer on every hole.
Complained to gift shop and he argued with me that it’s only been 2 hours and 9 mi utes since I tee’d off. Then said…. “We are a popular course, what can I say?”
We will NEVER be back. $42 per person and we only got in 9 holes. Horrible
Want a low score?
12 of the holes are Par 3, only one is a par 5. Very short course. Wish I would have read that before going. It was just okay; fair price and pretty easy to play most of the holes. The staff was awesome though.
You Get What You Pay For...
I fully enjoy this course. It's unique and creative and has a great driving range. The early holes have some major mud problems, but it is an overall fun course.
Good executive course to practice short/medium irons.
Fairly straight forward executive course. not much twist to it. mostly par 3, with some longer drivable holes sprinkled in. Course condition was pretty good. Some roughs and fairway issue with grass length, but greens were mostly great. I could imagine some pace issue if there is a lot of people, especially beginners, stuck in front, but its generally fine.
Sand traps
Please provide racks for sand traps, never been there when traps were maintained
Pace of Play, Experience ruined by crappy people
Played at this course 4 times now and will probably stop playing here. Course is fine (exec course, shorter than a standard course) and has been cut recently. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Pro shop and driving range is great too.
What kills this course is the people who come here. Groups of 4 randomly jumping in screws up pace of play. Hit a shot on the 11th hole that rolled down the back hill. Had someone get out of there cart, run up the hill, grab the ball and drive off with it. Had people driving around grabbing balls off the ground, in fairway or not. Overall crappy people and attitudes of people. Course is fun and great for short game practice, but terrible pacing (5 hours to play a round).
I don’t recommend
I booked through Golf Now.
I thought the price was not bad. I paid $37
The course was a par 61. I didn’t figure it out before booking.
Most were par 3 holes. and lawn maintenance seemed necessary.
I expoect the golf course to become newer and more attractive.
