All around great experience
Played 18 holes.... All around great experience!! I defintely recommend this course.
Great challenging course
This was our first trip to Meadowlands for two of us. The grounds keeper who was blowing the leaves from the fairways was way behind schedule therefore, the round was more challenging due to the fact finding our ball in the fairway was next to impossible. With that said, we paid too much for the round. We lost as much in the cost of golf balls for one persons round. Once the leaves are down and cleared, we will play again because we know it will be enjoyable.
Beautiful Course. Great Prices.
Just moved to Triad area and this is the first course I chose to play. Having lived in the golf capitol of the world(South FL) I must say this course had a lot to live up to. It did that and more. Perfect timing with the foliage transition as well!
Good Layout
Course was in good condition and we were able to finish in 4 hrs despite being a Sunday afternoon. Usually slow on the weekends, but we moved along reasonably well for a twosome. Good diversity of holes and always a challenge.
Very nice !
Course is challenging but impossibly hard for an average golfer. Love the scenery
First time @ Meadowlands
Great course. Fairways, greens excellent. Just need a full bar in that clubhouse! :-)
Great Course, Poor grouping
I booked a single tee time so I would be grouped with others on a Saturday morning. After checking in, I introduced myself to the other three and was told there was no way they were playing with me. They were playing as a threesome and there would be no discussion. This has never happened to me before. Everyone should know on a Saturday morning if you have 3 you will probably be paired up with a single. The pro shop would not talk to them, but told me to tee off and try to catch a twosome that had teed off 20 minutes ahead of me. This ended up working out fine and I caught them on the 3rd tee, but I was disappointed that the pro shop did not want to stand up for my tee time. That all being said, the course was in excellent condition with semi-fast greens and tough bermuda rough. The weather was perfect and the twosome I joined were fun to play with.
good course
course was in good shape except for the greens , they were bumpy and could not put , looks like they were punched a couple weeks before and havent filled in yet , other than that good course . would like to play once greens recover fully .shot an 82 from the blues , but couldnt score because of the greens
nice layout and conditions
there are several good courses in the area that I play. Meadowlands is one of my favorite layouts. Teeboxes were in pretty good shape, and the fairways were excellent... always a good lie on the Bermuda. The greens were not the best when we played. They were "fuzzy" and slow . It looked like they had aerated recently.. so this was probably a short term issue. The practice areas are some of the best in the area. I paid $30.50 on Saturday with golfnow hot deal . On Labor Day we paid $49.50. Both rounds took about 4 and a half hours.
Pleasent Surprise
Last minute decision to play golf today and was pleasantly surprised by this course. I was worried that the greens were aerated 2 weeks ago, but they were better than I expected. Nice layout with plenty of elevation changes. I will look forward to playing this course again.
Great Course
This course was very good with little wait time.
Thanks for the hospitality.
Hidden Gem
If you have yet to play Meadowlands, it is worth the trip. Great practice facility! Since I was playing this course for the first time I didn't really have any "course knowledge" but it was still a fun track. Fairways and greens were in good shape and very few bunkers to worry about. Very friendly staff in the pro shop.
Great course- Worth the drive from Greensboro
Everything was great. Course was in great shape. Fairways perfect. Big smooth greens. Played by myself, played several balls and finished under 4 hours. Staff very friendly. Can't wait to go back, book here you will not be unhappy with results...
Another fun round at Meadowlands
Played on Saturday after the course received over 1.5" of rain on Friday. Despite that much rain, the course had drained very well and the fairways were in surprisingly good shape. Played in a little over 4 hours and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Open and fun course.
A very well manicured course and great value for the cost to play. It was open and fun for myself since I have only been playing 2 years. Beautiful surroundings and look forward to returning soon!
Great way to spend a Saturday
The humidity was very high at the start of our early tee time. Wish there had been a little more water on the course. Great carts, very kind people working on the course. The staff member was a little self centered and could be a more customer related.
Have been playing here since it opened and always enjoy the round (except the scoring that I normally do).
Fairways and greens in excellent condition.
The tee boxes have just been plugged but not a big factor as the greens and fairways are in excellent condition. I found some coupons and we played for 1/2 normal fee and feel I got my moneys worth. Most fairways are wide and not a long course. A couple of challenging dog legs (wasn't sure of tee shot as first time played) and some interesting elevation changes. One par 5 I was over the green in 2 (drizzly day) so good for your confidence with greens well guarded with sand. Very nice folks and pace of play. I want to play it again from the championship tees. Fairways need narrowing for length of holes.
Very nice
The only thing that kept it from five stars was the speed of greens. a little slow and a few were beat up from ball marks and areas of repair, but they were still very playable. Fairways were super!
challenging
I'm a bogey golfer and found meadowlands to be challenging yet forgiving. various elevation changes throughout kept it interesting and course management is a must. Several tee boxes under repair, greens were firm yet slow due to higher cutting which I assume may be due to the time of year. they were fuzzy but rolled smooth. Need to be in the fairway off the tee leave your errant shots for approaches and u can recover .
very nice course
Always liked this course.Golf now makes it much more affordable. They had lost their greens on the back nine last year but they have almost completely recovered. It's fun from the white tees and much more challenging from the blues. I think it's one of the prettiest courses in the area. Well worth playing.
