Nice course
A little challenging but course was in great shape>. One of our group was running late and staff assisted us. Great customer service
Not great for walking
The course is r ally nice and all the holes were well laid out, but the walk between 3 and 4 is crazy long. If you’re not looking to walk a few miles maybe take a cart
Public golf track at Private Club prices
Second round here this year, played well, decent layout but ridiculous that as a local taxpayer (high taxed Dupage County), this Forest Preserve District owned and operated course charges $80 on a Sunday morning. Such a rip off…I pay less as a guest at many finer private club courses! All their staff and overhead is paid by our taxes…and they have excessive staff. Should we really have to pay for this as taxpayers? After the round we went to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants down the street, La Casa, to support the hard working entrepreneurs who risk their capital to have a nice patio and meal. Bottom line, people should play their golf at private courses like Mistwood, Cantigny, etc., and taxi g bodies like the Forest Preserve District of Dupage should not be in the golf business. And if they must keep the land for water retention or whatever, then run it better and operate low cost, and charge taxpayers like me a few bucks.
Don’t even get me started on the colossal waste across the street at The Preserve, which used to be a private golf club….if it can’t stay alive private
Y, why should taxpayers subsidize it with tens of millions of dollars?
Bring Balls
Probably would be a fun course if the fairways weren’t so narrow with about 10 feet of rough on either side. So good luck if you miss the fairway because almost every hole is lined with long wild grass that eats up balls.
Don’t like to walk to the fourth hole, little long.
