Waters Edge Golf Course
About
Although it's conveniently located just a half hour from downtown Chicago, Water's Edge Golf Club feels much further away with a location along the banks of the Cal-Sag channel. Water naturally has a prominent presence on the course. The layout offers a challenging test but it's nicely balanced by player-friendly elements including generous landing areas off the fairways and greens that are fairly reachable. Canopy-grown trees frame most of the holes, giving it the feel of a North Carolina golf course. In addition to the towering trees, there are protected wetlands throughout the golf course that come into play. Water's Edge is also known for having one of the best practice facilities in the area, featuring a putting green, short-game facility, and large grass hitting area. The entire facility is lighted for night practice.

Course needs a lot of attention. Not a bad place to practice your iron shots.
This course looks like it was closed for some time and the greens (browns) definitely show that. Clearly not being watered, greens or fairways. With the longest hole from the blues being 285 yards its a great place to go and focus strictly on your iron shots. I would play here again but it would really be nice if at the very least the greens were being properly manicured.
STAY AWAY SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!
I have played this course 4 times in 4 months and let me just sum it up DIRT/CRABGRASS GREENS TERRIBLE TEES and all around unmaintained past mowing and watering, putting is useless. Your best bet is to save your money and go somewhere both worth it and that wants you. Don is of putting at best and down right rude at worst, i once watched him run customers off the course yelling at them I hate to use say this but i found him Trashy. Play one of the many other local courses for a much better experience.
Don't waste your time or money
Keep your money in your pocket. The "greens" are not playable. Either dead or diseased - I could not tell. This should have been posted and explained prior to beginning my round. Avoid this cow pasture and play other area courses.
Worst course I
This was the worst course I have ever played on.

Fun little course
Nice little 9 hole course. Some longer holes, so not just a pitch and putt. Will go again.
Real Cheap with Cart if you get it online...
perfect for 1st timer, the course is short and would be a good 9 hole outing for family or party...
Empty
Paid $9 after taxes, and I generally try to pay around $1 per hole. The course was empty so I played 2 balls to get my 18 hole score. The par 4's are very short and would be long par 3's at any other course. I would reccomend throwing away your scorecard and simply practice your long irons. Great starter course. Greens were great, but the tee boxes were rough. Owner just took over and is very nice. Has a little putt putt course so it is kid friendly. Only food served is a Friday fish fry, but they have a full bar. Great value for a buck a hole.
