East at Woodlands Country Club

Bang for your buck. Always has above average greens. Pace of play early morning is par. Little crowded but pace is good. Around green and fairway condition mediocer.

Worse course we played in Southern Florida. Poorly maintained. It took us 4 hours to play 13 holes. When we quit, no one even asked us about taking our clubs to the car. Had booked the West course, when we arrived there was a couples tournament scheduled (shot gun start). We were 2nd tee time after them. Then they changed and put us on the East course in front of a group of 16. We would not recommend this course.

It was a very windy day. The pace of play was very good. Only waited 3-4 times the entire day. However, I thought the course was not in very good shape. The greens were fine, but the fairways had plenty of bare patches. The worse thing though, was that my playing partners had a cart with a dying battery. They called in for a replacement 7 times starting on hole 11. They finally brought out a replacement on the 16th tee box after I had pushed them around the last 2 holes with my cart. Completely unacceptable.

Lots of better courses in the area.
Do not waste your time and money here.

Staff didn't care about us and were fighting for status I guess, golf bags got misplaced and delayed our start. Course needs better care.

Pace of play too slow; took close to 5 hours! Had to wait on every hole?
Too many foursomes sent out without consideration to the pace of play. Furthermore, no course Marshall to speedup play.
Not recommended on week-ends

pace was very very slow. golf ranger was just sorry & useless.

Booked tee time same day on GolfNow website for a twosome. Arrived early for tee time and checked in at pro shop to pay. Waited approximately an hour after our tee time to get a cart. Course was well overbooked and there were many groups waiting at the starter booth. Golfers were visibly perturbed by the lack of cart availability and the overbooking of the course. We had booked the East course but were subsequently assigned to another twosome playing the West course. Pace of play was slow given the number of golfers booked. Course was in average condition.

A few weeks after playing I received an email claiming our group was a no show and re-charged my card for greens fees. I then produced my original receipt and emailed it to GolfNow as proof. So far the charges have not been reversed. It seems to me, amid all of the confusion, the course really shanked the ball on this one. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Woodlands.

Old course with little to get in trouble. Somewhat narrow but not overly difficult.

One of the nicer courses around Hollywood area..good amount of water and sand traps...

Enjoyed the experience. Staff were helpful and friendly and course play was perfect for timing.

Nice lay out and in good condition. Front nine we had a 2some in front of us and a 2some behind us. We were all moving about the same. We started 10 when we came around and a 3some in front moving slow. We drove around them and there were groups out in front that were not on course earlier. When we finished 18 there had been 4 groups waiting or playing the hole.
We were very flustered with all of a sudden all these people playing in front that were not there on front nine. We were not playing fast and we're in no big hurry, but didn't enjoy sitting 5 minutes at a time between shots. Totally lost our concentration.
Players were managed poorly. Thx

Great course for the money

Really poor course conditions, the turf was chewed up by bugs, greens are soaked and deformed by play, trees and bushes not trimmed hanging all over the carts paths. I would hope for a big change before the season starts.

Great layout and not too long. Played with a member who was very helpful in course management and directions.

Overall, I would rate this course as an average course for south Florida but given the Golf Now price we received and that we were the first group off, it was a good experience. We booked the 7:00 a.m. tee time and were the first group off. We were able to play in 2 hrs 50 minutes, which is amazing for a Sunday morning. The course conditions were average. The tees were ok, not as short as most would like. It was difficult to discern the fairway cut from the rough, and the greens rolled ok but slower than average.

Seems like there is new ownership as there has been marked improvement in the presentation of the East Course.Greens had been spiked but I was informed but the course played well and in better shape than the last time I played. Morning staff was friendly and accommodating but the afternoon staff was slow to acknowledge our group when finished. Did not offer to clean our clubs or take our bags etc.
Overall a much better experience and it will get better as the improvements continue.

I had a tee time booked for 8:30 and upon arrival at 8:10, the starter put at least 3 groups ahead of me to allow the members who just show up to get started without tee times before their 9:00AM shutdown, including a twosome. (they must not require tee times for members and they start on 1 and 10 at the same time) I was told by the starter the best he could do was sometime closer to 10:00. Then I try and get a refund and they insist they only give rainchecks! It took some complaining and mentioning that I was not coming back before I could get the manager to cancel the credit card. Not very friendly to the public! And way to crowded.
