Amazing Golf course
The course is really beautiful and in great condition.... very long to walk but it is one of the top golf courses in Ireland. Pity the wind was too strong and become very difficult to score well....
Excellent course
It's a number of years since I played this course but it has matured nicely. There isn't a bad hole on the course. The greens were sanded and pole forked earlier in the week which made them slow. I would highly recommend the course.
Great course pity about bunkers
The course was in very good condition with the exception of the bunkers, so many of the bunkers were out of play gur which I feel you should be advised of before booking as this takes from the round and the course
Weather ravaged
Course was in as good a condition as could be expected despite the snow and frost of the last month
PGA National
Myself and best freind had a great day . What a fantastic course and We were met with a very warm welcome from the pro shop. We would highly recommend this course and consider it very highly on My personal list of parkland courses here in the Republic of Ireland .
Testing course
This was our first time playing Palmerstown and what a great course it is. We played it after a night of very heavy rain and unfortunately a lot of the bunkers had about 3 feet of water in them and others had the edges collapsed on them but that's Mother Nature. Considering the rain fairways and rough were in super condition along with very quick greens. It is a long testing course with plenty of water coming into play. The handicaps in our 4ball ranged from 5-19 so we played off the bronze markers which is about 6500 yards and that suited us fine. Yes long walks between greens and tee boxes but this is a big piece of property. We have wanted to play this course for a long time and now we have played it we will definitely return again.
Top course
This course has everything, really tough challenge and every hole is it's own unique setting, only let down today was the sanded greens, not what you'd expect for this time of year.... overall smashing course......
Challenging and beautiful
Serious course. Water everywhere, bunkers everywhere...the course will keep you thinking. In great condition and overall a great day out.
Beautiful layout and definite tough test with plenty of water hazards.
Normally this course would get 5 stars, however the course is undergoing upgrades to it's green side bunkers and front 9 greens were sanded. On the day of play we had to start from the 10th tee as works were ongoing on the front 9.On saying this I would still recommend this course it's a beautiful layout and definite tough test with plenty of water hazards.
great layout.
Great track. Wind was up and course played even longer which was a tough challenge as the course is a good lenght off the white tees anyway. Greens where perfect. Bit soft off the fairway but time of year. Price was €24 when winter rates is €40 so great value. Will play again soon.
Nice couse not too far from dublin
this is a really nice course. there was nobody else on the course but that was because it was raining, windy and only 8degrees C. there was 1 hole that was being done up but all the other holes were good and no temp. greens
amazing layout
Testing holes, with water and bunkers everywhere, ready to catch any stray or mishit shots.Excellent course layout, fairways are still a bit sparse for a lush lie-otherwise magical.
Exceptional
I have to say Palmerstown is the nicest course I have played in Ireland so far. The course was very long even thou we played off the bronze markers.
Myself and my dad has a lovely day out and the layout and the views for some of the holes were outstanding.
The member of staff who we were dealing with had exceptional customer service skills and very polite and friendly. I will definitely be going back to Palmerstown stud and i highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good game of golf.
Forked greens and very sandy
My review title may be misleading, the course is very nice and well maintained. I was very disappointed with the conditions of the greens though, they were heavily forked and covered in a lot of sand. This took away from the experience I expected. I think an update should be placed on the site when this needed maintenance is done.
Fantastic Value for Money
The greens were in a superb shape. The fairways, bunkers and the entire course were maintained beautifully. Me and my buddy paid 40 EUR to play this great course which was an amazing value for what you get! The only thing I disliked was the missing marshal on the course. The 4 ball in front of us was extremely slow slow and made no intentions to let us play through.
Thanks, very helpful review. Will be playing it on Saturday.. ;)
