Local gem
Played this course today, I’m a beginner and the natural obstacles were quite a challenge. Overall a great way to spend a few hours on Saturday morning.
My Go To 9 Holer
I started playing Quail Ridge last fall and until they closed. I have played it several times now and have always had a great round. I usually play very early in the day, this time I was the first one off. The course is always in good shape with excellent greens. I played by myself and whipped through the nine holes in a little more than hour. I walked the somewhat hilly terrain with relative ease for a man of almost 69. The course is interesting, the people there are nice and the clubhouse is amazing. It used to be an 18 hole private course and it feels like it.
Good shape
Beautiful course. Even though we have been dry, course is in good shape
Nice moderate golf course
This is a moderate golf course. First time I played this golf course was in 2016. I was a bit intimidated back then. I think I played again in 2017. This time I played with no driver and only with irons. It was nice to be back.
Great surprise !
Great Course, a bit harder than expected especially due to the OB nature
Hills galore but fun course. Confusing 7th hole , could have signage on ‘how to” as your supposed to skip the hole and hit over to extension…. Weird way to do it. We were told at the outset that this was the case but did not understand what we were supposed to do once we got there….
Review
Loved this course. Very fun to play, very different style of holes. Good fairway width
Tougher than I expected
I am new to golf so not a course issue per se but the course has a steep learning curve. Tight with water hazards and bog in many locations it is not a course to go alone without someone who has played it before. The green locations were confusing at times because of some practice locations along the course. Bring extra balls. Very pretty although surroundings somewhat lessened by sounds of dogs barking in the distance due to close by kennel.
