Lovely course, very busy

Busy day for us so the first tee was a little intimidating for a beginner (we had an audience!) and pace of play was a little slow. However there were course rangers out and as we turned into the back nine we were told the group ahead of us had been asked to pick up the pace, which was appreciated. Staff were very friendly in general.

Really nice parkland course, not too hard for a complete beginner to enjoy but offering some interesting holes for the more experienced golfers to sink their teeth into as well. Some wicked undergrowth you want to avoid.

Nice course but holes very similar

The course is well maintained and good value for money. The layout of the course is not overly difficult and the back 9 is similar on each hole but i would definitely return.

Crowded day at the beach

Arrived to the course and there was no spaces in the car park. Staff were friendly and took our keys to park the cars when spaces came available. This should have given us an indication of what was to come.

Arrived to the teebox on time (despite the issues in the car park) to be greeted by a crowd of 30 waiting to tee off. With a competition on, there seemed to be tee times every 5 minutes and probably shouldnt have had visitors playing.

The entire course had been sanded and every fairway was similar to a bunker. This is fair enough given recent weather, but we received no prior notice either beforehand or on arrival.

Pace of play was incredibly slow and we were standing on tee boxes for at least ten minutes on every hole. While waiting on the 10th tee box, two groups walked passed us and off the course after playing only 5 or 6 holes. I doubt they were the only ones. We played the entire round after 5 and a half hours but really should have left after 12 holes instead of walking through the flooded tunnel to the 13th.

Disappointing round from start to finish.

Have played this course before and had no issues but this was an especially bad experience.

Sandy afternoon

Disappointingly I played at Newbridge while the grounds staff were spreading sand. The course is obviously a nice place to play but I was very disappointed not to be warned about the maintenance work in advance. The fairways were like bunkers. It made the round particularly in enjoyable. I walked off after 9
