Collicutt Siding Golf Course
About
Collicutt Siding Golf Club is situated just 20 minutes north of Calgary in Crossfield. The player-friendly course will appeal to players of all ages and abilities. The golf course offers two distinct nine-hole layouts with a straightforward front nine that is followed by a more challenging, links-style back nine. The golf course was created in large part by great community effort. Construction began on the front nine in 1994 with equipment, materials, and labor that was almost entirely donated. The back nine was added in 2003. The golf course operates as a nonprofit organization, benefitting the entire community. Though it may not be what you're looking for if you want a truly formidable test, the course is a prime example of prairie golf with natural grasses and pristine water features. In addition to the course, Collicutt also boasts the largest junior golf academy in Canada.

surprisingly nice
course was good shape for mid October. Greens are excellent shape. very laid back course. No snot nose people.
Very forgiving course.
My husband and I really enjoyed playing this course. It was very forgiving (I never lost a ball), and it was easier to find balls on the fairway during this late season round than many leaf covered courses that we’re familiar with.
The layout was great; wide fairways and the pin could be seen from my (red) tee box on each hole.
I’m sorry we didn’t discover this course earlier in the season, but we’ll be back next year if the green fees don’t get prohibitively expensive now that I’ve written this glowing review LOL.
Pretty Good
Played here as a single after booking on Golf Now. Joined up with a threesome and really enjoyed the company. The course itself is pretty straightforward, nothing fancy but definitely enjoyable. It's forgiving off the tee, especially on the front nine, so swing away. The course's main defense is the greens - on the front the they are on the small side and some are elevated, and on the back they are fairly large and undulating. They putted true, especially for October, and were just speedy enough to make you think. As stated in other reviews, pace of play was quite slow, but I didn't mind since it was a beautiful day late in the season. It was relatively windy for most of the round, but I would imagine that's pretty standard here seeing as it is a prairie links course without much protection. I played the blue tees at 6600 yards, but it I found it played shorter than the yardage indicated. There are a few places where you can take an aggressive line and cut some yards off without much fear of danger. The staff were accommodating and the driving range was pretty nice. Always a bonus when you get to hit off grass and not mats. All in all, I would reccomend this course as it is a good value, it's player friendly, it's a decent layout and the conditions were good.
Good value
Course is well kept. Wide open fairways. Good value
Kids onnthe course.
I was not pleased that I had to play behind a family of 5 on the golf course. Mom and Dad golfed while letting three little kids under the age of 10 walk the course and hit some balls. One child was in a stroller on the course. I get that kids should get to learn the game. But not that young on an adult course slowing play down considerably. I also feel it's unsafe for small children. My kids learned to play golf on a proper short par 3 for kids until they were old enough to play on a full course. Please revisit your policy on small children being allowed on the course. Thank you.
Awesome staff
The staff at this course are absolutely awesome and all about customer service, I highly recommend this place.
Great course. close to Calgary.
Good little course very forgiving for right handed golfers
Great course, nice and open.
The course is very open and really great for beginners or those like myself who have not golfed in years. My only complaint, is that several holes are very difficult to know where the fairway actually is, especially the 18th hole, I had no idea where the pin or fairway was as there was no layout board at the blue tee box.
Regardless, I had a great time and I will definitely go again.
Very nice layout. Very good condition. Greens excellent
