Bighorn Golf & Country Club
About
Carved out of the sunny benchlands at the base of Mounts Peter and Paul, Bighorn Golf & Country Club (formerly known as Sun Rivers Golf Resort) is one of the few “true” desert courses in Canada. Designed by celebrated golf course architect Graham Cooke and Wayne Carleton, Bighorn is the essence of exceptional golf; offering dramatic elevation changes, sagebrush, natural sand dunes, classic bunkering, wide bentgrass fairways, gently contoured greens and majestic vista

Great value
Definitely the best value in the Kamloops area. Good test of golf and the greens are tough but fair. I would definitely recommend it!
Rocky start
The sand traps are full of rocks and there seems to be a lot of maintenance happening over all over the course.
Otherwise greens are in good shape course is always fun
Value
Best bang for the buck in greater Kamloops. A couple funky holes but a true test. Definitely a thumbs up!
Nice to see a herd of Big horn sheep
Overall a nice course, great views. Bunkers need attention, no sand and rocks everywhere, a good power raking needs to be done. Often difficult to know when it is safe to hit your second shot due to the rolling fairways. Buggy whips would help groups on the ree see the group in front or use the gps to identify carts in front.
Big horn
Greens were in great shape to say we are in October.
Just under 4:20 for a 4ball on a Saturday lunchtime.
No two holes are the same here, very friendly from the whites, and scary from the tips.
Carts with GPS and speakers.
Highly recommend this place, a must play if going through kamloops!
The course was well cared for, greens were in great shape and the views were lovely. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Only issue was the pace of play was very slow. We were warned ahead of time that it would be slow, so it wasn't completely unexpected, but we were waiting at least 10 minutes on each tee box and there was no Marshall on the course that we saw to help speed the pace up. We were unfortunately only able to complete 14 holes in just under 4 hours and then ran out of daylight. Had the pace been "normal" I think we could have finished our full 18 holes in time. Fortunately we got a great deal on green fees through golf now, so it wasn't a total loss. I would love to play here again at another time when hopefully the course is less busy and pace is adequate.
