Summerland Golf Club
About
Summerland Golf Club's location on Paradise Flats allows it to have contrasting layouts on the front and back nines that provide a variety of different challenges. The course begins on relatively flat terrain, offering a combination of links-style and tree-lined holes. The fairways are generous and player friendly. The opening tee is perched 75 feet above the fairway, providing a stunning view of the Okanagan Valley. As the golf course moves towards the back, the terrain gets hillier and more densely covered with Ponderosa Pines. The back nine demands accuracy and good putting skills with undulating greens and no less than five holes that border the immense Trout Creek Canyon. The course finishes with an excellent risk-reward par 5. A good drive will give golfers the chance to reach the green in two but careful maneuvering around the corner of the canyon is required.

Placid front 9 and tough back 9
I played Summerland several times a few years back, and was happy to go and play it again. The front 9, after the 1ts hole is quite benign - flat accessible greens, not too much trouble if you drive reasonably straight. The back 9 tightens up considerably, and is on more hilly terrain and generally tougher holes. It's nice to have the front 9 to warm up your game. Unfortunately, on the day we played we were teeing off on the back 9 first. Nevertheless, a fun course to play with challenging shots for all levels of golfer. Very walkable with only the walk from 10 green to 11 tee being an issue.
I’m back!
We jumped back to Summerland for some more!
Overall feeling of the course is great as always. We prefer the back side of course into the mountains, but overall the whole course is well maintained and has great scenery.
I’d like to see some of the elderly be more attentive to people around and let people play through and the odd person with a tank top on get told to wear a proper shirt but that’s the world we are living in.
Beautiful area of B.C., it’s a must play if you’re around!
Enjoy
Oldie but a goodie
The Summerland area has it's share of baby boomers so you will have to deal with some slower play, but they are aware and friendly enough to let you play through.
The course has some elevation changes and I enjoyed the back nine up in the mountain area more than front. Front is great as well, don't get me wrong though.
It's in great shape and the course if very fun to play. The views are satisfying and you have two different feels to the course which is evident at the turn.
Food was great and the practice facilities are a nice touch. Full range, sand/chip area, and of course putting green.
I'll be playing this course again in time, it's one that you want to combine with others in the area when you heading there for a nice wine tour.
The Okanagan area is known for its wine, nice weather, water, and golf. It's a great place to plan a vacation and there is zero chance you will regret it.
Enjoy!
Kinda reminds me of an old western.
We found a groupon deal, 55 each i think.
We had a great time. Lots of great holes. Some very unique scenery. I think they have 7 par 4's in a row, wired.
i had a great time. It was a lot of fun.
i didnt use the range, im not sure if they even had one.
