This has many horror stories
I always thought the management ruined this course and now hearing how scammy it is with other reviews, I know now that I was not the only one to think that. Golfnow is pretty good, I think it is more the Sam Dimas Canyon course that has a problem with making it clear how much the cost really is. They make up charges in players and as an avid golfer, I feel their pain. Along with all the hackers on the course, marshall is on phone doing nothing.
Nice
This was a very nice course and the layout was great. Playing conditions were very good. Definitely would play here again.
5 and half hr round
The last two time I played on a Friday afternoon the round took 5 1/2 hr plus.
Very slow pace
Pro shop was under renovation for over a year now and still going. No proper restroom, only 2 filthy temporary portable restroom available and no bath tissue to be found. Make sure you bring your own if you need to go.
Fairway and green condition were both good but the pace of play has a lot to be desired. There were no marshals to be found and two of us spent 5 hours to finish the round which is ridiculous.
Starter is bad and place has gone downhill
So many hackers and the staff seems miserable. Used to be a decent course, now in bad shape with management. I would avoid, not even worth the lower tee times fees.
Good Condition but rude starter.
Pace was fine and course looked great after the rains. Starter must’ve had a bad day with the attitude my group was met with. Really dampened the excitement we had to play here again before we even teed off.
Management can do better
I’ve played this course about 25 times. It’s a great place but the pace of play it’s horrible i don’t understand how they let groups tee off every 5-7 min,
I played on 3-26-23 please explain to me why we have a 6thsome in front of us this is BS.
We played early and the pace of play was 3 and a half hours. The course was surprisingly in good condition after all the rain we had in Southern Cal. Love the course!
Fun course
I love San Dimas! It was challenging with all the recent rain, but enjoyable just the same
always one group ruining it for everyone
Gave this place another chance since the week before, the group in front of us ruined any sort of momentum. Happened again but this time 2 groups in front. On the 11th they had a whole hole in front of them empty. Caused 3 groups to wait on the tee behind them. Marshal finally came out on the 15th and it got better but I think the course has too many people with lil to no etiquette. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Greens are firm and run fast. Only reason we came back. Likely not coming back. Ever.
Need a marshal out there
Sadly one group literally ruined the day for probably 5 groups behind them. They were behind the group in front of them by probably 3 holes by the end of the round. Teed off at 8 on a Sat which isn’t too bad but 15 mins shy of a 6 hour round.
Pace of play
I really enjoy coming here it’s a beautiful course.. but the staff needs to really get out there and monitor some of these slow people
Pace of play is horrendous
San dimas could be a very nice experience but they squeeze in tee times too close together and it leads to the worst pace of play in all the area. 5 hrs plus to finish 18 and we started at 1130. To play 55 dollars to just sit there and watch people tee off the blues hitting it 150 yards then rolling it all the way to hole. The Marshall came around and we told her the problem to ask them to speed up and she just kept giving them the excuse of they are older and can’t hit it as far. The point was for them to just speed up. Hit off the reds to whites. But it’s also hard when the tee times are spread 7 mins apart. Leaves people with not much room. We waited almost 20 mins on a par 3 to finally tee off. Truly truly a poor experience here. Would wish the owners prioritize the golfer over their profit.
