a work in progress
This course has jacked its fees up and is trying to position itself as higher-end, even though it's ridiculously short, barely 5500 yards from the longest tees. To management's credit, greens are good, fairways are mainly okay, most of the bunkers are now in good shape, and they have maintained 10-minute tee time spacing, which guards against severe overcrowding. The course draws a lot of novices, as it should, but no one addresses pace of play. When I asked the marshal to caution the group ahead of us that they were out of position, he said, "What's that mean?" The course offers an adequate experience if you go out during one of their less expensive times.
Local Club
Great local course but is a bit tight if you’re not too comfortable with your shots. Love playing here.
Busy pre-holiday round
This is my home course, so I know it well. Since this was Tuesday before Thanksgiving, I knew I wouldn't get in a full round. The pace of play was terrible. We ended up getting 13 holes in before we decided to call it quits. (4 hours with 5 more holes to go). It was a beautiful day. Going again today ... hopefully with better results!
Slow but plesant
Tee'd off a little late, played behind a 5 two groups ahead, made for a almost 5 hr round. I've finshed in 3.5 before.
Great Day for Golf
The course was in good shape and the pace of was also good. One thing that needs some attention are the hole close to the water have a lot's animal stuffs.
Short But Sweet
Not a great fan of the shorter version of UHCC but it still has challenges and it’s fun. I’m a 9 handicap, 60 years old and play from white tees regularly but played blue tees here and shot 74 with 3 birdies and I would say that was partly because of the short length of the course. Good conditions, very good greens. Can’t comment on bunkers but playing partner was in several and they were inconsistent to him. Golf Now special.
Getting too pricey
Upland Hills is a fun course. But it still has six part threes and two super short per fives. The new management is raising the rates at a level that does not match the value of the course.
Good Value Golf Course
I always enjoy playing at Upland Hills Golf course. The staff is friendly and the pace is generally a good pace.
Short Public Course
This is my first time playing this course. It is not bad for a public course. It is not very long, has many short distanced holes. The price is fair (par) for the course.
