Pleasure to play the longest golf course of Ontario
We were a threesome & it was worth the time.
Some of the holes are not that great, wrt the maintenance, especially hole 8, but for beginners like me, it’s part of the experience.
A most challenging 9 hole layout!!
This 9 hole course is not easy! It's long and full of water hazards on every single hole. If you like to be challenged and play a quick round this course is for you.
This course has improved significantly from past years.
The course is much nicer than it was in the past, the greens and fairways are in a much better state.
Not Impressed
This course was not well kept at all. The fairways were a mess, bridges looked like they were going to fall apart. There was a dead goose on one of the tee off spaces. The grounds were all dug up and impossible to hit from. I wouldn’t recommend playing here.
Slow pace
Course needs a Marshall on the greens….. had a foursome in front of us and a threesome that we’re very slow pace slowing the entire course
Great value for the money
Played today, no complaints, why?, it is obvious that improvements are ongoing, can't wait to see the finished product. Love what has been done so far. This is my new favorite 9. Great value for your money. Greens are better than some 9's where I have paid twice as much for a round. Plan to be a regular. Looking forward to my next round after which I will try their food and drinks on their newly renovated patio.
Greens were great. Fairways were good. Bunkers were mostly unplayable due to water and mud.
Better than expected, yet still a ways to go
Played this a few years ago as it was local, cheap, and I liked the length; though maintenance was poor. My recent visit noted a renovated clubhouse, patio, bbq pit, fairways in good shape, greens in very good shape, and its claim of being the longest 9 hole in Ontario remains true. A good place to use all of your clubs and face a 213 yard par 3 and a 625 yard par 5. Love that!
Why they don’t fix all of their sand traps is a mystery to me. Many are simply unplayable and you’ve got to take a drop beside them. Also, the 8th hole - 625 yard par 5 has a real rough patch in the fairway and a mud pit that looks like a tire track. If they maintained these traps and repaired the fairway, the course would be a hidden gem.
All of this being said, I will likely go back yet warn people of these challenges, cause the cost, location, and challenge remain a draw.
This course is in terrible shape.
Course was terrible. Grass in fairways was very poor. Uneven terrain everywhere, hard packed soil around greens made it hard to get under the ball for chipping. Cannot find your ball most times until you are on top of it. Sand traps were nothing but puddles. Bridges over creeks were falling apart. Layout of course was not well planned. Garbage in the trees on last hole. Felt grungy. Course was 45$ with a cart. Obviously you get what you pay for, but it still wasn't worth the price.
