This course used to be a decent course years ago. Over the last few years it has become a cow pasture. I know this summer was really hot and dry but this course was much worse than other courses. Probably going to be a longtime before I go back. It isn't like the price was discounted.
This course is in horrible shape.
This course is in horrendous shape. Cart paths are ridiculous/unusable. Fairways are harder then concrete.
A few holes are under actual construction with bulldozers etc.
It’s unfortunately a unkept/unmaintained course. I would assume it has no greens keeper or staff.
Poor shape
I hadn’t been in 2 years I was so disappointed from the minute I got there the pro shop was practically empty of everything ,checking in I asked what shape the course was in and was told in really good shape So I get my cart which was absolutely filthy I wiped it down myself then off to the 10th hole which is now the starting hole. I won’t go through every hole but the fairways were in bad condition and a lot of the greens were dried out with dirt patches and some kind of green filler on them it was terrible. Plus the cart paths were actually dangerous to drive there were holes everywhere. I was totally dissatisfied with this golf course Lakeridge and I will not be going back.
A Premium Course has Fallen from Grace
What I would once consider a top course in the region, has fallen in tough times. The greens are still quick and hold, but the rest of the course is in rough condition. Tee boxes are chewed up and unleveled. The fairways are damaged with dead grass and exposed dirt a common sight. It appears they may be preparing to rectify this for the 2021 season, with significant construction underway near holes 5/6 & 16/17.
Fingers crossed for better times ahead.
Have always liked this course
Have been playing Lakeridge for years and was particularly impressed with the condition of the greens this time around. However, i couldn’t help but notice that the green fees have gone up between $20~$25 per round.
The Course REALLY needs water in fairways
This course has suffered from a long period of hot dry weather. The greens were good and tees OK. But most fairways were hard to hit due to the hard ground, inability to water them but concentrating on watering greens and tees. I think that additional water wells are needed for fairway watering because it was hard to hit at some locations. The back and front nines are reversed this year to make it easier to have staff close to the pro shop, facility and entrance area we people come in. You should consider making this a permanent change in my view. Starting with a short par five is better than a hard par 4. I enjoyed the company of a family that I joined.
Good challenge and great staff
A few greens are beat up a little, but other than that no complaints. Great staff, and the course has a good degree of difficulty. I would definitely play here again.
Horrible
OMG
Course absolutely sucks!
Period don’t bother no matter what they charge.
This course use to be as good as any in the area but no more.
I’ve played here many many times over the years and it’s steadily getting in worse shape every time and yesterday being the worst ever.
The fairways are all dead there is zero green grass anywhere but on the greens and about 25 feet from the greens. Looks like the place is having difficulty with upkeep from poor cart paths to drainage lines sticking out of the fairway and traps to tee boxes that takes to hands and a cordless drill to get your tee in.
It’s time to sell the course to someone who cares about their pride.
I will tell everyone I know to never play there until new owners take over and repair the mess.
I hope the owner or management reads this.
Very disgusting !!!!
Neglected of water....
The fairways desperately need a drink of water. It was like playing on the sidewalk.
this course should be shut down and watered
close the doors and hook up some sprinklers waste of time and money
Will not return - looks nothing like the picture(s)
I last played Lakeridge Links back in 2018 and it was already beginning to suffer from rough conditions. But I thought I would give it another chance and played on July 27 with my wife, my brother and friend who had never played the course. What was once a lush, premium style course is now baked out and hard as cement. I was extremely embarrassed by the conditions. The fairways were literally unplayable with hard pan conditions. Most of the tee boxes were scruffy and the fairways were brown with bare patches throughout. The greens were in good condition with exception that players don’t repair ball marks. It appears that the greens are the only part of the course being watered. Charging full regular rates given the conditions of the course is mind boggling. I will never play there again. Over the last 20 years it was a course that was in the regular rotation for my Tuesday foursome and I often played here with my wife and son as well. No more.
