Reviews
love it! very nice scenic course
well maintained, helpful staff, great views, fun round
Lush Greens
excellent course to start the year off,i thought the greens were fast which was a challenge, but overall a great day
Love caledon
It's fun, forgiving not overly long and such a great location
Caledon in the Niagara Escarpment
Caledon is a great course tucked in the Niagara Escarpment. It is well maintained and tends not to get too dry even in August. It is wonderful to play there in the fall with all the trees turning colour. It has a variety of interesting hole layouts to challenge all levels of golfers. The signature hole is the par 5 ,14th , with a drive off the cliff followed by a narrowing approach that fools many, then a pitch to an undulating green. Take your par and be very very happy. Play it.
Great Course - Fun and challenging!
Beautiful course, great design. Interesting holes and layout. Very fun to play!
A long and winding course...
Well maintained with beautiful views. A valley course with lots of elevation changes, twists and turns. Fun to play but a bit of a challenge walking, next time I'll take a cart.
Don't let the yardage fool you
Best bang for the buck within an hour of the GTA
always in great shape - especially the greens .
a great blue collar kind of golf course !
Very saticefided
It was very beautiful with good condition of grass and the course was perfect.
It was a course that I could only find once in my life
Great course
Very enjoyable round of golf. Nice course layout and challenging. Will definitely play it again.
Great course
Greens in great shape for this early in the season.
A Hidden Gem (at least for me)
I had never heard of this course, but found a hot deal for it, so I decided to try it out. It was worth every penny. The course was slightly wet underfoot, to be expected in April, yet was perfectly playable. Despite being on the slow side (again, playing in April), the greens were in great shape and rolling really well. The layout is fun and challenging. I am looking forward to coming back in the summertime and playing the course again when it firms up and is in midseason shape.
Note: The whole place is a maze, so allow yourself some extra time to navigate your way to your tee time. The entranceway is a maze. Finding a parking spot is challenging. Finding the pro shop in the clubhouse feels a bit like being in the labrynth, but you get there eventually. It just makes it all the more rewarding when you finally get out onto the course.
Always a great day at Caledon
The course was in good shape for early in the season , and for the amount of rain we've had, a little soggy in some spots, but overall nothing to complain about, greens were slower than usual which made for a better than average day on the greens. Busier than usual as well ,but pace of play after the first tee was great. No waiting. Look forward to going back many times this summer.
Gotta play here
Ive played this course a few times and ive never been disappointed. Course is always in great shape and the pace of play has always been good. Dont think ive ever gone over 4 hours for a round.
The course lay out is amazing and is great for all golfers.
Good value
The course is in good condition overall with a few minor brown spots in the fairways and some bumpy areas on the cartpaths but greens are smooth and challenging to put on. Interesting layout with some short par 4s to tempt the long hitters to drive the green. Has some steep hills leading down from the elevated tees so powercart is recommended. Good value, I will definitely play again next season.
Caledon Gem
This facility is huge. The holes are well spaced. Some really challenging holes with really tight pin positions. The greens are very fast and they break. It is hard to get a read on them.
Weekend golf
Greta course but could be better on the price size and some of the tee box need work - other than that is B+
First visit
Beautiful scenery, liked the layout, challenging for my wife and myself.
Pace of play was slow. Nice day lots of golfers.
Pro shop staff were pleasant an helpful.
The starter was friendly, helpful with tips about the course.
At first the first tee was confusing as to where the carts were to travel but after explanation , it was just fine.
No refreshment cart during first 9 holes. We had a tee time at 1:00 pm.
Then two times in 20 minutes in the back nine.
NO POWERADE or GATORADE !!!
We will be coming back once autumn colours appear.
We live in Mississauga at Hurontario and Eglinton. Only a 35 Min drive !!!!!
