Great local track
Course in great shape. Pace was excellent with round in 4hrs. And 10min. I’ll be back for sure.
Great place to play
It’s a fantastic place to play. Not incredibly long but still challenging
Great course
Nice long course, fairly easy. Hole 12 is interesting though and one that sticks out the most. Fairway is below the actual hole and you have to hit it to the top of a hill to get to the greens.
Mature wooded course minutes from downtown
- wet morning kept everyone else off so able to walk the course in 3.5 hours
- fairly straightforward holes with minimal water
- large mature trees forced you to keep your shots straight
- greens in good shape with some nice complexity
- snack bar well below average
- will definitely go back but have lunch somewhere else after
Spectacular!
Staff courteous…beautiful clubhouse…grounds well groomed.….very challenging course…
Hot Deal Tee Time not honored
Although the course wasn't busy, and I had paid Golf Now more than the rate that would have been charged by the golf course pro shop, I was denied the right to tee off until a suitable group ( a twosome) could be arranged. I won't book anymore hot deals at Lakeview as they don't honor their commitments to Golf Now or its customers.
Hot deal tee-:time not honoured
Despite pre-paying more than the going rate for this “Hot Deal” , I was denied my tee-time because the course policy does not allow singles to play alone. The course offered to refund my money or to lay much later, finishing in the dark. I understand the reason for the policy ($), but the greed amazes me.
Great value for twilight golf, but beware pace of play.
I am a Mississauga local, and have come to Lakeview more times than I can remember. The courses have always been fairly well kept, the fairways especially. Tee-off boxes were pretty messy, with tees / cigarettes / dirt chunks everywhere. The greens were fairly well groomed, no divets, and played well. Overall, for twilight golf, I was able to play 13 holes in just over 3 hours. Great value walking (for the money).
***BEWARE THE PACE OF PLAY. It was frustrating to play at this time, there were no marshals on the course, no check-in official, and several groups infront of us were not keeping pace of play. We had to wait at every tee-off box for 3-7 minutes, to tee off. Then wait on the fairway, then wait for the shot to the green. These were individuals with carts, while my group was walking. Groups should have been staggered more, or officials keeping the pace of play. I have no doubt I could have played another 1-2 holes had we been not kept waiting.
Overall an easy course, with fairly well-kept conditions, fantastic clubhouse food and staff, but can improve their pace of play.
Long and straight
Lakeview is one of the nicest public courses in the GTA. Being close to the lake you get some cooling breezes and there is lots of shade on some of the holes.
It can be challenging with some longer par 4's and a 550 yard Par 5. Many holes have up and down terrain with gullies or small streams with some being almost small valleys on a few holes.
Pace of play is pretty good and most golfers are not beginners and you can join up with other twosomes.
