A challenging 9 holes course
This course was transformed from the previous 18 holes Seaton Golf course. Part of the land probably was used for the construction of a new housing subdivision. But the Pickering golf course is much better than the previous Seaton. The fairways n greens are in very good condition. It is not long but some holes like the #2 400+ yards par 4 is very challenging and the tight layout makes this 3000 yards 9 holes course not very forgiving. Sign to the holes are pretty clear as the car paths are quite tricky n can miss easily. Overall speaking, it is a good course and price is reasonable. Pace is good too and we two can finish within two hours. Check in is quick n staff very polite n friendly. Will come back again.
Hidden Gem
We picked this course becuase it was cheap and it’s our first time out this year and it’s close to home, we ended up loving it! They have great par 5’s and about a 3+ in difficulty maintained pretty good and the beer girl was around twice in 9 holes . It is only a 9 hole but definitely worth the $$, beer is pretty cheap too.
Accuracy is needed here
Tight challenging fairways, the grass could be in better shape but it was definitely still playable. Group in front of us were searching for their ball on every hole and they weren't very good so that held us back. Price was good with a cart included. If you want a challenge and not break the bank then this course is good. Could finish in 2 hours or less unless playing behind slow people like we did. Our round was 2.5 hours, way too long for 9 holes.
Great course and challenging!
Love this course, well maintained and challenging for more experienced golfers!
Poor GC
I used to play here many years ago when it was a 18 hole.
Now in sad shape won't go back
The course presented a nice challenge and demanded accuracy to keep the ball on the fairway. Easy to loose your ball along the fairway fringe due to falling leaves . Overall, good value for the money.
Durham regions best 9
It’s a great course with a variety of everything. Water, bunkers, elevation and rolling hills. The course is always in great shape, bunkers have soft lush sand. Hole3&4 are great back to back par 3’s. Staff is always friendly and joking around. Look forward to many more rounds here and walking most of them
Nice course
I played here for the first time on Oct 4, 2019 and was very impressed with this 9-hole course. The terrain is hilly and scenic with lots of variety. Some tight fairways made for challenging shots, but still very enjoyable.
I was also impressed with how well the groundskeepers kept the course. Even with the leaves falling off the trees, they continuously blew the greens clean. The sand in the bunkers was soft and raked, not like the concrete-like sand at other courses. It was amazing value. I will tell my friends and will play there again.
Decent course for a quick 9holes. Takes about 2:15 to complete and is challenging.
