A jewel in the ruff
This is a decent course that has improved dramatically in recent years.$20 green fees for 18 holes. A real bargain! There are four different tees, blues(6101), whites(5762), reds(5008) and golds(4585).Any level of golfer can play here. The Jock river runs through the course, so water does come into play on some holes. Tree lined fairways, with well manicured greens. I will be playing this course often.
Course has gone down hill!
I haven't played Riverbend in 15 years. We used to hold family and work tournaments here. The course's layout has changed, but the conditions have gone downhill. Terrible layout, poor planning on holes etc etc. Glad we only paid 11 bucks!
Great Value!
This was great value for the money. The course was not very busy and we were able to play at a leisurely pace. The course was in good conditionand the staff were friendly. I have no problem recommending the course.
Short and easy golf course.
Riverbend is an average golf course but It can be a good way to spend a couple of hours on a golf course that is not crowded. It is very flat and lacks a bit of character.
The price is cheap , so you can't complain about that though and it is easy to walk.
Nothing memorable. Plain Jane
As in the name a river flows through it. It is a flat course and with the amount of rain we 've had, there are many wet and muddy places in the fairways currently.
Quite featureless other than going back and forth over the river. Housekeeping of the clubhouse is fair or less.
Riverview golf club
THEY dont keep the grass short enough if you land in the fairway you still cant find your ball and the greens need a lot of attention.
Excellent coarse
A course in much need of attention...
Calling this location a country club is likely calling a big mac a filet minon. The cost of the course and the cart is both over priced and the quality provided is more closer to playing in a rice paddy. Safe to say the owner is looking via Golfnow to attract as much $ without putting any of it towards maintenance.
Very disappointed.
good value
fairly straightforward course, reasonable care of greens and fairways, good price for 18 real holes, a few interesting holes but nothing too challenging, couple tight bends and some small greens, few water traps and high brush to avoid ...
Average little course
Picturesque little course. Nice walk. Tight fairways, small landing areas and small greens, specifically on the front 9. Short course. Had just rained for days so course was in rough condition. Not bad to whack a few balls.
This is a good course with some interesting water traps
I found the course to be challenging from my level of play
good course for a novice golfer
The course was in pretty good shape however the starter did not appear to know what to do when it got a little busy. He was starting people on the back 9 [ he had at least 3 full groups waiting around the tee box ] as a result we waited for at least 40 minutes to hit off from the 10th tee. One of the groups had 5 kids in it that clearly did not know how to play and thus made play behind them almost impossible.
This course is excellent value for the average golfer. It was very wet earlier in the season but is drying out nicely. They've done a lot of work on the landscaping, trimmed the lower parts of many, many of the trees and it's looking good. It's not too busy, and memberships are a good deal.
