Blocked Pace Due to Tournament
We love this place but. How could they book our tee time 75 minutes before a tournament? Maybe this is a miscommunication with Golf Now? By the time we had played 9 holes (there are only 9 we do twice) there were 5 groups waiting to tee off on Hole 1. Rather than try to play this way (angry and following a slooooow tournament) we asked for a rain-check and nice young man gave us 9 hole credit. This would have been great except it takes us 2 hours to drive here and back home.
Family fun day
Family fun tournament happening. We were just fillers. 3 Hrs back nine. Price too good to
Believe. No Kings at kings bay
fun course
well manicured - 3 par 3s- 3 par 4s - 3par 5s-- 4 tee boxes - well distanced from each other --
nice bunkers with very little sand - 2 inches at most- \ a truly fun course
Nice Course
Was looking for a quick nine on my way to Newmarket. It was a beautiful location and a really nice 9 hole course.
Recommended!
Nice course
I enjoyed this nine hole course. Not too challenging with water on a few holes. It's definitely walkable. The front desk employees were friendly.
A great afternoon!
Course was in good shape and challenging. With several tee decks to choose from, it made the back nine feel different even though playing the same holes. Staff were very friendly, as were all other patrons on the course. Even the neighbours who back on to the course were courteous and friendly. Will definitely go back, as we look forward to trying the very back tees next time!
Great 9 hole course!
Really enjoy playing at King's Bay. Course is challenging and very scenic. Staff is very friending and accommodating.
Course was empty!!!!
How could this course be empty on a Thursday afternoon with perfect weather? We did not see another golfer on the round. A very enjoyable and fair round of golf. Good variety of holes and, being a 9 hole course, we played different tees on the two 9s. Par 3s were on the shorter side (except for #2), rough was tall but you could hit out of it, bunkers were pretty solid after all the rain we've had. Definitely happy to come back and play again.
The course was in great condition for Golf Day , will visit again
Great deal
Although the course is only nine holes the twosome I played in just played he course twice. I came from out of town so it was nice the cart was included. Very well maintained course and lots of scenery since most the holes are along the water or some sort of channel. I live about an hour away from the course and probably would not of played here without the GolfOne deal. I should probably note the staff were very friendly and also have cooler bags for beer since there was not a cart girl out the day I played.
Slow play
Everything was good except the slow and bumpy greens.
Starting on the second 9, the starter in his infinite wisdom let 2 men walking followed by 2 women riding ahead of us. Why he didn't let us play through is a mystery. Why he didn't pair the 2 groups together is also a mystery. The second 9 was 45 minutes longer than the first 9 with waiting on every other hole. The women (in their 50's) were ridiculously slow. They capped it off with cleaning their equipment and organizing their bags directly in front of the 18th green while we waited in the middle of the fairway. Sadly, the 3 friends I took with me for their 1st experience at King's Bay said they would never play there again.
Wet feet
Booked a hot deal during the dry part of the day including cart. When we arrived at the course we were only then informed that they weren't sending carts out. After driving 40 minutes we walked instead of driving home again. Had to call golf now to get cart fee refunding while Kings Bay could have called when they received the booking at cart price. Somewhat unfortunate but nice little course other than this experience.
My favorite 9-hole course
The fairway is in good condition consider this is still the early spring. Some of the the green need more grass.
Beautiful Fall Afternoon
The course was recommended by a friend and was BETTER than "advertised". Tee time was 12:22 on a Friday. There were only a few others on the course. The fall colors and the view of the lake added to my enjoyment. The course was in pretty good condition considering the brutal summer weather. A number of fairways sloped both toward the green and laterally right. I enjoyed trying to take advantage of both by trying to drive the ball left so it would get extra distance going down hill, forward and right. Many of the greens sloped down hill away from the player so that most balls landing on the green from a distance would roll to the back edge or off the green entirely. Something to remember in the future. Otherwise, putts rolled pretty true.
It's about a 1.5 hour drive from home but I will do it again a few times next year.
Nice Day
My son and i plated Kings Bay for the first time and had a very enjoyable round. Played 18 holes and it was challenge to go back and try to improve the second time around. The course is an overall good layout and really like the 3-3-3 format for pars.
It is obvious that the course suffered because of the dry weather but that did not deter us from enjoying it.
While the course is routed through a housing development the homes are far enough away that they do not enter into the picture. Holes make for a good layout, could be an easy walk, but I was a bit tired so chose to drive.
Would definitely go back, very enjoyable day.
Great value... Great views
Great views. Nice course. Only 9 so you play it twice. Never a cart for beverages, practice putting green wasted and hidden but all else is tops.
