Great track
Fun challenging beautiful layout.
Would have give 5 stars for conditions but greens had been aerated recently and had not healed completely.
Still putted well.
Very good conditions
Beautiful course, awesome huge mature hardwood trees, tiered greens, and pesky stream winding through it. Shot placement is important trees can block shot to green even from fairway. I look forward to playing again with a bit more course knowledge.
Great Course
The layout is very enjoyable. The greens were excellent for putting however, they were a bit firm and not very receptive to the landing of the golf ball. Many shots ran through the back.
Perfect day at Craigowan
This is a very nice golf course and a challenging golf course. Some long par four‘S so long par threee’s and the same for the par five’s. Their are some birdie holes to give you some hope but you can let the round get away from you in a hurry here. All and all loved the course the staff were friendly my only complaint would be about the almost five hour round but it was a beautiful day and we took it in stride
Signage
Course was nice. Open fairways so easy to follow your ball, especially if you slice. More and better signage to the next hole would be helpful especially for those who haven't played. There are a few places where you easily get turned around and waste time searching for the next hole.
If you get a chance PLAY this course
As it turns out this course is 7 properties over from my sons house. They paired us up with another twosome and we had a great time. Lots of fun to play, wide landing areas and BIG greens. Friendley and helpfull staff in the pro shop. The layout is great no repetitive holes. Tough par 3's. The course was in excellent condition.
Great course - felt like a member
Staff was friendly. Course was not busy at the time of my tee off. Joined a pair of golfers playing ahead of me. They were great! One was a long-time member and I got the lowdown on the course. He is quite an ambassador for the club. Enjoyed a beer following the round and the facility is great. I would definitely consider joining this club if I lived closer to it. It's a gem.
Great Value!
The best deal in SW Ontario! A playable yet challenging course. It hosted the Canadian Women's Amateur Championships and other national events. It has a driving range included with green fees and a true championship course.
Nice Track
long rough, fast greens, great sand and a very nice layout.
A Good Day
From the first contact in the pro shop to returning the golf carts-a courteous, professional and friendly staff treated us like members rather than guests. The affable starter gave us clues about how to play the first hole, what the expected time of play should be for our foresome, asked us kindly to use proper course etiquette and wished us a good round. The course has always been known for its fine condition and with a national tournament on the horizon the conditions were even above their normal standards. Pace of play was good, except for some twosomes that were allowed out. Greens were large and accepting and ran true and relatively fast. Many holes with risk/reward choices made for some interesting choices off the tee and for second shots. Overall a fine course and a pleasant experience.
