Rusted Rail Golf Course, located about half hour or so southeast of Dallas, has a new name and a new look. Formerly known as Creekview Golf Course, the facility was purchased in July 2017, then renamed and renovated. Reopened in August 2018, Rusted Rail unveiled what is essentially a new golf course with renovations on its 36 bunkers, new Champion Bermuda greens, a new irrigation system and vastly improved conditions, including new cart paths and restroom facilities. Designed by Dick Phelps in 1995, the course can play from around 5,800 yards to more than 7,200 yards. The layout features mature oaks lining many of the holes with elevated greens and mounding. The course also has a stream running through the middle of it as well as ponds that come into play on about a half dozen holes. Additionally, the clubhouse has been completely remodeled and expanded to around 17,000 square feet.

Interesting layout

Sandy really likes it since she beat me up pretty bad,
I found it to be a nice test and a fun course to play .If you are looking for a highly watered ,pristine course you will be disappointed fairways are not watered or taken care of.
if you are looking to play golf you should have a good time.

You Get What You Pay For

Pros:
-fast play
-cheap rates

Cons:
-rock hard fairways and rough
-cement sand traps
-hard to find grass to hit off of
-watch where you step, there was dog feces everywhere, even on the fairways.

Overall:
This course would benefit heavily from an irrigation system, a groundskeeper who cared and some serious TLC.

Hey, this looks like a great place for a golf course

Love the layout , people friendly, pace of play good, have seen this place when i would call it 4 star instead of a shaky three star. reason is the course itself ,hardly any grass on the fairways--various forms of vegatation yes and plenty of fire ants but little quality turfgrass. surprisingly no matter how bad looking they get (they usually lose at least two greens every summer-understandable when they were bent but now bermuda) the greens usually roll great. price and pace of play good and layout really neat. needs better groundskeeping and watering in the summer months .

The course was a good price for the money.

Course was average shape for this time of the year, but a good value for the price. Lots of walkers so make sure to gauge your time.

Bunkers need attention

Had an issue with day of tee time that was completely my fault.
It was handled with complete professionalism.

Fun layout and nice greens

Although the greens are really good the fairways could use a lot if help. This course is not far from being a terrific course with a little work. It has a little bit of everything with some very long par fives and par fours that require less than driver.

Needs work

This course is in poor condition. The fairways are mostly weeds and you must move your ball to find grass to play off of. The course has not been watered in a while and very hard pan. Not even a good practice course.
