Great Course for everyone!

This is the course I learned to golf on and still regularly play to work on my short game and longer iron shots, playing from the blue tees. Several years ago the city committed to getting it in good condition and it's paid off , looks great, fairways, greens, tee boxes all very nice! Bunkers good need more sand is the only thing I see. A nice variety of hole challenges to give. your skills a test or for the beginner, to learn on. Nice, flat short course to walk and carry a bag. I found the front desk staff to be pleasant and helpful.

Fun Course - Bad/Poor Management

My husband and I love playing at Shortbeach. Unfortunately management violate booking rules by blocking out and reserving early, most desirable t-times for their buddies. We also observed non payment of green fees by their buddies. Surprisingly they also allow groups of six or more.
Most of the managers are sour and unfriendly.
This sometimes spoil our golfing for the first few holes but the beautiful surroundings and joy of playing soon diminishes the negative issues.

Nice par three

Great par three and price is right. Right on the beach which provides its own challenges. Worth the fee

Par (3) for the course

Getting back into golf after a 20-year absence, my first stop was my local course -- a Par 3 course in my home town.

It features just one hole that's 200 yards with a couple of holes in the sub-100 yard catagory, too.

The course was in really good condition for what it is and it was easy to get around quickly. (Far less than 90 minutes in most cases).

Having discovered golfadvisor mid-summer, I'm writing this months after I first played there and I must admit the last time I went a couple of the greens were starting to fade badly due to the dry conditions. Hopefully, they stay on top of that.

For residents, the $10 price tag is more than worth it.
