Wide open fairways
Had a great time at Lone Star. I’m not a great golfer by any means so I really loved the wide open fairways. It is very forgiving and the course was in good condition. Greens were pretty consistent throughout the course.
Great choice for area
Great course for price and the area. Only better than that is the staff who work there. Great experience with those behind the desk in the pro shop.
Great course and staff
Very friendly and helpful staff from the pro shop to the club.
Grass driving range, no mats!
Fairways and greens are in great shape.
Course took over 5 hours for 18 in a 3 some, which was its only low point.
Fun and challenging course for the novice golfer. A lot of pine needles on the greens and even more pine cones under the trees.
Pleasantly surprised
This was a nice course and layout which made it challenging for an average golfer. It was over the Thanksgiving Holiday so the course was slightly sparse and the lies tight. But overall it was fun, and the staff inside the pro shop we’re very friendly. I am from California and will play again the next time I’m in El Paso. Thank you.
Rough
Ball went a mile as the fairways had no live grass. Greens were dry and quick. Extremely poor condition.
