Rude course pro
Don't bring ANY of your own beer. You'll get 86'd. My husband, myself and two of our friends were enjoying a day of golf when our cart decided to die. We called the clubhouse and told them. They sent their golf pro out to bring us another cart and tow in the one that died. My husband was drinking a beer that he had in the cooler pocket of his bag. The guy lost it on him. He was telling him we were 86'd and as long as he was the pro we would never golf there again. It was insane. Neither one of us could say anything. My husband could only say, sorry I'm not going to argue with you. But, the guy just kept yelling at him. We did not say a thing because we did not want to get in an argument with him. He finally told us to finish our golf game and never come back. Needless to say, it really messed up the enjoyable day. Yes, my husband should not have been drinking a beer that he did not purchase there. But...... the tongue lashing and being 86'd was totally unprofessional and unnecessary. 86'd or not, I will never go back.
Great Value in the Teton Valley
Great little public course just outside Victor ID. Awesome staff, course was in great shape. Greens were very smooth, rolled true. All in all, great bang for the buck, I highly reccomend.
This course offers very fast greeens!
The course is in a valley, so the course is very flat. However, the very fast greens pose a big challenge to the golfer. The views are spectacular, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the course is in excellent condition.
You will enjoy the course, but beware of the greens.
A fun Hale Irwin course!
Checking idaho off the list
In our quest of playing golf in all of the states during our summer vacation, this is located on the west side of the Tetons in Victor, Idaho.
The course plays long, but like mountain courses, the views were excellent. The wife loved the place as she was able to score more pars than she normally does.
The only negative, was due to recent rain, the bunkers were firm, but they were taking care of this as we played.
The staff was gracious, and attentative as we were one of the few ones on the course. If you don't want to play the higher fees of Teton courses on the east side, go up and over mountain and play this course.
Close to perfect...(except my final score).
It was the first time I had the opportunity to play the course and I was impressed. The staff was cordial and courteous. The cart we used was in brand new condition. The fairways are in pretty good shape for this early in the year. The greens had a few aeration marks but rolled very well. Pace of play was above average. Overall it was a very nice day to play in the Tetons.
