A gem!

I've probably played Rathcore more times than any other course over the last year, simply because it's a hard place to stay away from. For hole variety and course condition its very hard to find anything better for around the same price (€20-€25 euro). Some glorious holes over water across undulating Meath countryside. The 18th is a fantastic closer. Greens in good nick at the moment too. Difficult to fault Rathcore.

The course has great variety

Great variety of holes with water lurking to catch the wayward shot. We played in excellent weather conditions and found it to be a tough but fair course.

Interest and challenge all the way

I played this course on a beautiful Saturday in September. The staff were friendly and helpful (as always in Ireland). The course isn't a monster in terms of length, but the design is excellent in using the natural contours. The greens were true, but with some subtle slopes which meant that you had to putt well to score. The standout holes were the two par 3s on the back nine (11 and 16) which made superb use of a wetland area. Much more enjoyable than the Montgomerie at Carton House, which I played the following day, but just as challenging and at half the price!

Up for a Challenge

This is one of the most enjoyable courses I've played in awhile. Each hole seems to offer it's own challenge - watch out for the water!. Greens are really well kept and the fairways match them too. Considering the quality and value for money I'll defo be back to play here again

Hardly noticed it was winter

Highly recommend this course. I played on 1st december and I have played courses in much worse condition in the middle of summer. Good greens, good holes obliging a little course management. Will be happy to return.

Pristine says it all

I would expect to spend 100 Euros for a course of this design and conditioning. Greens are perfect....and fast. Conditioning similar to TPC Sawgrass in Florida, which I have enjoyed many times.
