Golfnow discount , can't complain.
I paid almost nothing so no complaints from me but I must be honest for those looking to one day try this course. The fairways are very poor. Clovers and weeds outnumber grass, however I was surprised the greens were fairly decent.
I wouldn't pay full price for this course. I would play it with a substantial discount as I had. Few par 5 where I could let rip and criss/crossing fairways made other players coming from the opposite direction a decent hazard to avoid.
Great for beginners but would really upset intermediate or pro(wannabe), players. I had fun and got to try allot of shots I would not attempt on nicer courses.
Give it time
This course does have some potential, unfortunately it will take some time to get there. The grass needs a lot of work in places out side of the greens. The greens were actually half decent which is a plus for this course. It's worth a play with a discounted golfnow tee-time.
Beginners course
Good course for beginners. Course is very hard off the fairways. Could use a lot of watering. Very flat and open. Priced too high for the condition of the course. Greens are very slow. Play after twilight to get the best value.
Enjoyable round.
The course was new, it was in great shape. Most of the holes were the same, a lot of long, wide open fairways. Very fun overall, I will definetly golf Empire Springs again.
Good potential, course is improving
This was a "rustic" golf experience but new clubhouse, excellent large new greens and maintained bunkers leave only the fairways to deal with. It is a flat course but enjoyable one.
Fair with the price.
Green is ok but too slow, the fairway needs well maintainace.
poor conditions
Greens are ok but course needs some weedkiller - more weeds then grass :(
Cow-pasture gone wrong!!
Played on a holiday Monday and the course was empty for a reason!! I could not find my own ball in the middle of the fairway because of all of the weeds and dandelions growing. Grass growing out of the bunkers and all I could smell on the greens was pesticides and chemicals. This course needs serious attention! My ball bounced every direction once it landed due to the hardness and uneven "rocky-like" ground accept for the greens of course. Absolute cow-pasture!
You can't beat playing 18 holes for only $12.00!
This Course hasn't been open that long and will get better
with time. The day I played, there was a three club wind which took away from my experience, as without trees or change in
topography, no shelter is offered. The fairways were
firm with little grass and lots of bare turf to hit off of which again may improve as this course matures. This short hitter, did not
mind all the roll she got though! The routing on hole #13 needs to be more clearly defined and I was told this would be looked after.
At this point, I would not pay the full green fee to play here but it is a course that can be played in well under 4 hours if not busy.
Greens are good, but fairways and rough are brutal. Already lots of cracks and it is only early May.
Course is in terrible shape. Lots of cracks with little to no grass. Greens are good but very slow.
New course, not many trees so can be challenging in the wind
This was a really enjoyable day. The people were really nice and helpful and it was not busy so very relaxing. The wind was blowing 25km+ so there were some good challenging holes from the back tees. well worth the money. Thanks!
Very enjoyable easy to walk.
Fairways need attention,re-seed would help a lot.
Green were in great shape.
Speed of play was great.Mind you the course was not busy.
Good family course
Not a destination course. Fills the need for a place where beginners/families can play at an affordable price. Lots of room to misplace a drive. I had fun blasting the driver on every hole except the 3's. If you live in the area and need a cheap course to warm up, this will do.
Course is never too busy
It is allways nice to play empire springs. It is a good test from the back tees. It has a good variety of holes.
New course
One of the only course to open in March in the GTA so I booked. New course, not many trees so it's wide open. Green were in great shape fro very early spring. Staff is super friendly.
some very good holes
greens were good, fairways need work, need the trees to grow to define the holes more.
Wide open and flat
This course is too new with lots of uneven/bare turf.
Water on several holes is the only challenge.
Greens are the best feature of this course.
empire springs
new course with great greens. needs time for trees to mature, but great value.
