Great challenging par 3 near downtown Ottawa
I have played at White Sands about 8 times since seriously taking up golf in 2018. This 9-hole par 3 course is beautiful, with spaces between holes filled with marsh and tall grass and reeds. The greens are always well maintained, and there enough challenges in the form of bunkers (including a double-decker on the final hole) and water hazards throughout the course. Staff are always friendly and although I have only taken one 1-hour lesson at the in-house school (Gunn Golf), i can say that my instructor Jeff Gunn greatly improved both my accuracy and distance. Add in a nice driving range (grass and mats) and great chipping and putting areas, it's a complete package.
Like a small pro course
Course was in excellent condition. Lay is smart and although it is a par 3 9 hole course it gives the feel of a regular full size course.
I give a 4/5 only because they can seriously use better signage to indentify hole number

Always a pleasure to compare our beginner “skills” play by play.

Another good round
We had another good round at White Sands. Nobody playing immediately behind or in front of us, which was great. Course in good conditions except a few tees where more grass needed. Staff friendly as usual. Can't beat the price for seniors.
Perfect your short game
Course was in great condition and can really make a difference if you’re trying to dial in your short game. Will be back!
