Play nearly once per week
With sand in the bunkers and new drainage schemes, the course is much improved. The staff are friendly guys, fun to visit with. I like this challenging course.
Nutters Chapel
Always a good round at Nutters!! Perfect mix of tough and not as tough holes makes you think about shots more and all combines for an enjoyable round of golf!
still one of my favorites
if you can get a good price, play it.
Terrible shape
5 temporary greens, all were Like putting on grass that was terribly mowed. regular Greens were a tiny bit better. Worse shape I’ve ever seen a golf course.
Stay away unless you don’t care about putting.
The course layout and fairways are fine. But, most of the greens are unplayable. I payed $35 for a round of golf that should have been $15 considering you can’t putt anything. They should close the course and fix all of the greens before changing one more cent. I know I am not the only one saying how bad the greens are. Heed my warning. Do waste your money at Nutters Chappell. Go someplace else! I wish I had! I will NEVER go back!!

Greens are toast! A lot of the greens gave little to no grass just sand. I like the course but it’s in bad shape. I’d be surprised if their greens come back this year.
Greens are rough right now
Greens at this course are basically nonexistent. They were treated, but under the paint you could tell how bad they were. This course doesn’t drain well, but when in good condition one of the toughest layouts around. Greens were at least puttable. Rest of course just stays wet after lots of rain. I paid very little with all my rewards so it was easier to take. If I had to pay full greens fee would have been pretty upset.
Tight but playable
This was my first time on this course, it’s been on my local bucket list for a while. Course is woven through the apartment community so It’s tight off the tee. The slopes give for some fun and challenging approaches. The pin locations where a little wild today, some pins tucked in so tight they left less than 20’ of landing space on some very challenging greens. The green on One in particular left me no choice but to chip from the green due to the pin location. Lots of slope on fast greens gave exciting birdie opportunities. There was no sand in the traps only gravel, and what little sand was there was overgrown with weeds. Also, no divot mix for repairing divots left me feeling like I scarred the course today especially with some of the beaver tails created by the need for aggressive knock downs to hold the tight pin locations. This course is short played from the tips but, the short par 3’s will challenge your distance control. Next time I’ll leave the 5 wood in exchange for an extra wedge. Several drivable par 4’s to small greens and aggressive tree locations are a nice change from the mountain courses that rely more on slope to create more of a challenge. If the bunkers had been maintained the course would have played much better as they are laid out really well. The final hole is a super aggressive dog leg right that welcomes an aggressive drive over the trees but it also plays into the clubhouse with #9 and you will get rained on if not careful.
don't waste your money
This course frequently prohibits you from driving the golf cart on the fairways stating wet conditions even though there hasn't been any significant rain fall in days. The greens are the worst I have seen covered with weeds and in some cases physical damage to the green surface . The bunkers on every hole are not playable.. They are filled with either dirt or rocks and in some cases water!!! I have played on municipal courses that were in better shape . save your money
Quite place to enjoy a round
Great staff, very nice and the course was in extremely good condition, had a blast and would live to go back.
Loved it
I lived on a golf course in Myrtle Beach and this course reminds me of some of the courses there. I like the terrain, elevated tee boxes and challenging holes.
Greens in great shape
First time on this course and enjoyed it. Greens are in great shape.
