Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Pines Course
About
The Pines Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. The Links and the Ridge are the other two. The courses can be played individually or as three different 18-hole combinations. The Pines Course is named after the mature, tree-covered landscape. It and the Ridge Course make up the original layout at Eagle Ridge G.C. They were built over a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway in the late 40s. The unique and undulating topography is a result of this. The towering pinelands lend a sheltered feel to the course as well as a challenging element to the game. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play along the greensides.

Great Course
Have played this course multiple times in the past year and it is awesome every time, fairways in great shape and many scenic holes. I had the opportunity to finally play the Pines nine and a little different in terms of the other two nines in a bit tighter and par 3s much shorter and not as picturesque. The only two areas for improvement: need drinking water on course and repair ball marks on greens. Love the course and can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend playing especially if you can get a deal on one of the golf apps
Shore to please!
My go to course when down in Toms River spending some shore time. First rate facility for sure from start to finish. Friendly staff always have a warm greeting outside in the drop area and inside the pro shop. All three 9s are a good test for any golfer. Well maintained from tee to green with trouble lurking for wayward shots. Two thumbs up!
Course is in AMAZING shape.
Had a noon tee time. Starter was amazing. He said that he just sent out two foursomes on 1, so he sent us out on 10 by ourselves. Played Pines/Links. It felt like a private club, Never caught up to anyone and nobody was behind us the entire round. I hear that is not normal for this course, but seams like tipping the starter made our round amazing. Place is in great shape. Best condition public course around. PERIOD! Super friendly staff.
Great staff
Booked a tee time on golf now and had to cancel.
Had a tooth infection. Golf now called Proshop and Pro approved refund even know short notice.
Really appreciated it!!
Thank you
Very nice. I love this course great lay out.
Holiday Monday
Course was very busy, all their carts were out on the course, one group would finish, and they turn it around for a foursome that just arrived. Round was around 5 hours, but it was such a nice day, who really cared. Only backup our group had was starting the back 9 with 2 foursomes waiting on the tee, (19th tee). Course in great shape, starter kept everyone up to date concerning when and where they will start, good job.
Nice Course, but pace of play too slow.
The course conditions are good, except for the bunkers. There are very few rakes and no evidence that they had been raked in weeks. The pace of play on our front nine (Ridge), was acceptable at around 2 hours and 20 minutes, When we made the turn onto The Links, there were 3 groups in front of us, waiting on the tee. We waited for over 20 min, before we were able to tee off on #19.
Fun course
A slow day with perfect weather on Juneteenth led to a 5 hour round. The course was running late and running out of carts by the early afternoon. Conditions were fabulous. The bunkers were well groomed and full of sand. And there are a lot of bunkers on this course. Large, deep and well positioned to catch wayward shots. Very large greens that rolled true if a little slow. The 5 hour round would turn into a 6 hour round if they sped the greens up. There is a lot of undulations on the greens.
It's a short tight course with some blind shots and forced carries and hidden hazards. If you want to bomb it with the big dog, this course won't make you happy. Not a course that I'd consider walking.
Great Course
Had a great time on this course. The greens and fairways were in wonderful shape for a public course. The staff is exceptionally friendly - a true breath of fresh air after dealing with the miserable goblins at any of the Monmouth County public courses. Sunday 9AM round finished up in around 4 hours and 20 minutes on a very busy golf day.
