About
The Denver City Park Golf Course is an 18-hole, municipal golf course with a traditional layout. The 72-par course offers over 6,700 yards of golf. It is conveniently located five minutes from downtown Denver, across the street from the Denver Zoo and Denver Museum of Natural History. Small, sloping greens and tight fairways lined with trees make the course seem harder than it is. There is also unique bunkering to provide more challenge for experienced golfers. The location provides spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains as well as the city. On the premises, there are several amenities that are characteristic of a private club such as pro shop, restaurant, and even a club repair shop.

The new Denver City park is a greta course
I last played the old City Course in 2017 and it was fine but, somewhat felt like an old urban course overcrammed with trees, somewhat dated and old. Love the new course, the layout is great, much more open but not easier by any means and if you ave not played it yet, get er done. Greens are in great shape, rough was rough as expected with all the recent rain, rangers on the job keeping people moving.

Nice morning walk
The course is getting into nice condition with all of the moisture we have had. The greens are almost there after aeration a few weeks ago. Great value!

Early season City Park
The new layout is great. In a week or two when the greens are fully back from early season aeration it will be in top condition.

The rework is worth a swing..
Was very impressed with the rework. The course was in good shape & greens was quite a poke from the tips.. Great job & the staff was very considerate and that includes the grounds guy...

Finally able to get onto City Park! Love what they've done with the course, fairways are fun and challenging and the greens all have multiple shelves to navigate. Definitely flying blind on a number of approach shots, at least 60% of the greens are elevated and you're essentially flying blind. Bunkers are soft and well maintained.
**They definitely need to put a net in on the left side of the range as people are smashing hooks right into your fairway.

The new layout is great
I had not been to City Park since they renovated the course and clubhouse and it was great. Some of the holes were similar to before and the back nine presents some new challenges. It got a little windy on the back with some weather rolling in but that's golf in April here in Colorado potentially.

More hopeful for the summer
The course still has plenty of sand around all of the greens and fairways, making each shot feel like you are hitting out of a bunker. The layout is somewhat frustrating for a newcomer, as 50%+ of all approaches are to green complexes you can't see.
The range balls are distance limiting, which kinda stinks since they seem to have the space.

This course is great for visitors
I played Denver City Park about a month ago and it was a blast. Course is in great shape and was a good value overall. I had a great time with my buddy visiting as it was his first time playing the course.. Super friendly staff, they were not renting clubs due to COVID but he was able to use the club rental service called ClubShare and it was great because we picked up the clubs on the way to the course. We will definitely be back!!

Nice but tight.
The course was redesigned, but the only issue that I had with this course, is the fact that it is a very tight nearal course with golfers crossing over onto each other's Fairway and tee off in one area that has another tee off right next to it, facing the opposite direction. Which can cause injury or even worst accidents to happen.
