Great day at Falcon Point

Played at Falcon Point today in an Interclub match. The course was in immaculate shape. Fairways were lush, bunkers were in perfect playing conditions. The greens were fast and smooth.
When you walk off the course after playing 18 holes and your shoes look like you have been indoors all day...well let's just say I was greatly impressed.
We had lunch and it was delightful.
Everyone staff member I encountered was delightful.
The facilities are extremely nice.

Unique, fun, target golf

Fun course that, like many in the Houston area, plays through a residential neighborhood. However, the playing corridors aren't overly narrow and the ample water presents more of a threat than out-of-bounds. This is a fun course but I suspect the fun decreases as your handicap increases. There are a lot of target golf holes where you are forced to play to specific yardages, hit to blind landing areas, and navigate from Point A to Point B with little option but to follow the prescribed line of play. Not everyone's cup of tea, and definitely will beat you up if you're having an off day, or just aren't very good. If you have played other Von Hagge courses then none of this will surprise you.

Challenging course but playable if you hit it straight !

I’ve played this course numerous times and it presents different challenges each time you play it ! The wind swirls in different directions and speeds daily and pin placements range from accessible to near impossible ! The greens are a nice speed and true. Plenty of water and OB and pampas bushes to grab errant tee shots. One of the most challenging 6500 yard courses you will play. Always in great shape. If you have a good driving day you can make a lot of pars and have some birdie chances.

Lightening Fast Greens

I have played this course several times, always as an invite from a friend. The course is and always has been in great shape. Pace of play was good for the difficulty of the course, need to play with someone who has played the course before. Couple of tee shots are tricky with blind hazards. Once you get past those this course will not disappoint. They are proud of their "refreshing" beverages but the cart on course comes around often so you will pay for the experience.
