One of the earliest courses in the Kingwood area, this shot-maker's course rolls through a dense forest along the north bank of the San Jacinto River and has long been one of the best golf values around Houston.
At Kingwood you have the chance to start off strong, with 8 of the first 9 holes being wide open, straight, and having minimal hazards. The most difficult hole on the front is the impressive, doglegging 360-yard No. 8, which curls around the lake and plays into a severely sloping, two-tiered green.
The more difficult back nine, which is longer and more narrow, starts off with a 527-yard par 5 that doglegs left at 225 yards off the tee. Play a cautious shot into the dogleg, as water is on the right side of the fairway and will catch booming drives.
The late 1990s ushereed in renovations that have improved the course significantly, including tee box improvements and a new irrigation system.

Neat course.
Not an overly difficult course, but some really challenging holes thrown in. Greens were great, fairways were a little ragged in places. Good amount of elevation changes on several holes. Enjoyed it and will play again.
Good course for the price
The only complaint I have is in that the sand traps were in poor shape. Not maintained and not much sand.

Not bad for the money!
I played and really enjoyed the course, It is relatively easy, with the exception of a few holes. Fairways and Greens seemed to be in pretty good shape, just wish they had been mowed before the round. Good value for the money.
This is a great course
Excellent course, staff very friendly and courteous.
FUN
so this is not the nicest or hardest place to play but for the money its great. the people are very nice and there is usually a tee time open. i recommend this club to anyone who wants to have fun on a budget.
Non golfer foot traffic
Greens were in good shape. Lots of bare spots in fairway. Too much non-golfer foot traffic on the course also kids playing in the water hazards. Even had one guy fishing in front of the tee box.
Their greens and their bunkers have improved.
I would recommend this course because it is in good condition and a great value
Course was in ok shape
There was to much slow play! Need to monitor golfers on there speed. It gets frustrating.

this course is worth maybe ten to fifteen dollars.
GREENS WERE UNDER REPAIR
The greens were under repair and the ball didn't have a smooth roll to the pin. I guess that's why the price was so cheap. I have played this course before and never seen them this bad, hope this will not be an ongoing thing.
Course needs work
This is and old course and needs alot if attention some of the greens look like someone ran the lawn mower and cut the grass off of them was just circles if dirt on green Fairways are hard and bumpy and tee boxes were in bad condition
Pretty good
Easy short course in okay shape. Greens need a little work but not bad. Worth the money and in fair condition.
Feel like I should get two rounds for rude people.
I showed up a little earlier then my tee time and was very rudely told I cannot get out on the course until after one... I said that's ok sir I'm just here checking in. The whole time on the course I was surrounded by rude loud people laughing coughing just screwing up my whole game. I think the course was in horrible condition and definitely not worth the money I had to pay.
good course for the price
not much water in play, greens decent, staff was great. For the price a good deal.
