Got a Tee Time on golf now for 15.99. Will be a regular everytime I can get such good value.

The course has definitely improved their greens from when I played in April. The pro shop and facilities are nothing to write home about. For the price if you're not opposed to taking a nice drive, it's an enjoyable round. There are no paved cart paths, everything is dirt roads.

We played early in the morning so the weather was very nice. We were paired with another group of two and we got along great. The pace of play was really good on the front 9 but a little slow on the back. There were a few greens that some mole hills on them but other than that the course was in good condition.

I booked a tee time on GolfNow for one person (every time available had the option of 1-4 players). Get there to check in and the guy goes “Are you a single?” Said yep he’s like “We don’t do singles. I’ll ask the starter if he can pair you up”. Starter is like “ I’ll ask if anyone wants to play with you”. Since he gave them an option everyone said no. He said I could skip to hole 4 since there was nobody after that hole. Cool. Play and when I make the turn starter is like “I’ll see if anybody wants to play with you. “. Nope. Big surprise. Nobody does. I say I’ll be back when I’m not such an inconvenience for everyone which is what I was what I was treated like. They are like “Ok”. Starter comes by as I’m packing up and is like sorry but you shouldn’t come out on the weekend as a single. I understand it’s going to be busy and I’d likely be paired up with a group at any other course in the world on a holiday weekend. Told him to set the number of golfers available on the GolfNow app to 2-4 instead of 1-4 so guys like me won’t drive 30 minutes to be treated like I just told everyone I had a venereal disease. He started arguing that it is set up that way and I said it is very not because if it was I wouldn’t have been able to book a time for one in the first place. He continued to tell me I was wrong.

BTW. It was not busy there. Maybe four or five groups out on a nine hole course at that time. One group was a twosome.

Never been treated like that at a course before. I play this course often on weekday afternoons and have always had a great time but I will have to think real hard about going back or not at any time and never again on a weekend unless I have someone to go with me and all other courses are closed.

We arrived 15 minutes before our tee time and checked in. We got one of our carts assigned to us and we’re walking back to get the other when another pair of golfers jumped on it and took off. We went inside and let the guy behind the counter know and he told us oh well. He stated that we would have to wait for a scramble to finish before another cart was available. He also told us that hopefully they would still allow us to play since we would be late for our tee time. We ended up waiting 30 minutes for another cart and we’re 15 minutes late for our tee time.

Course is in good shape, considering the lack of rain.

The fairways and tee boxes were in great shape, the greens were a little choppy but over were in good shape.

The course was in great shape and we really enjoyed the greens as they were very nice even in the Texas heat. In the past the staff has been very friendly, this time the guy in the pro shop was a little rude to our group. We got there a little later than expected but we’re still 20 minutes early. Since we only had 20 minutes to tee time we decided to only get a small bucket of range balls, he made it a point multiple times to each of us that we didn’t have time for the range because he had multiple groups behind us at the tee box. We finished our range balls and we’re on the tee box with about 3-5 minutes to spare and we never saw another group tee off until we were already on the third green. It made us feel rushed at the range which defeated the purpose of practice. Everyone else was a pleasure to deal with as they have been every other time we had been there.

He played the course once before and recommended it to me. The grass and the greens were very nice. The staff was very nice, just like 99.9% of the people in Texas.
I will play it again the next time I visit.

Pleasant surprise, it’s well kept and staff is friendly. Greens are in fantastic shape! It’s a bit far from Houston but well worth a drive. Texas country golf at its finest ! I’ve played everything in Htown , this is great for the money ! Cheers !

The members here think they run the entire course and will play in massive groups at a super slow pace. I’ve played here since it opened up and probably won’t be back for a while. For $15 more you can drive 15 minutes further south and play the wilderness golf course in lake Jackson and it’s absolutely stunning. Way over priced for just a 9 hole course imo. Fairways need a lot of work/water

Past few times the pace of play hasn’t been great. Today there were a group of what I’m assuming are regulars jumping around holes
