Good course
A lovely course in good condition. The staff in the pro shop were very friendly as were the other golfers we met. The course is quite flat but quite long. So if you have any mobility issues I would recommend a buggy. Al in all a very enjoyable round of golf on a good course.
Best course in the area
3rd time playing this course and as a high handicap golfer it is without doubt the best course I’ve played in the area, just a shame there’s a waiting list for memberships.
Greens were poor
Greens had just been hallow Tyned so where covers in sand abs bobbly, spoilt the round. Everything else apart from that was decent friendly staff, clubhouse was closed due to having a function on.
Great course
First time playing and will certainly not be the last. Loved it. Great layout. Great golf. Nice weather… I’d heard many good things about the course before playing and they did not disappoint. It has some of the best tree lined holes I have seen in the area with the surrounding scenery. (Holes 13/14/15 being nicknamed ‘Amen corner’ by friends). Course was in great condition and I played some of my best golf which was a bonus. Starting off with with two par 5’s and scoring a birdie then a chip in Eagle and then another on the 11th!! Staff were great and friendly too. The one downside was a couple of members in front who took a while to let me through which was frustrating at first but afterwards it was quick play. Even considering joining here at the start of the season.
Great all round
First time here playing in the winter, having played a few times in the summer. The course is in great condition for this time of year, including the greens, which were immaculate. Played with a member here previously, so had no interaction with staff, this time round, spoke to a guy in the clubshop who was very helpful and allowed me to tee off early.
Some good chances for birdies on this course, shame I'm just starting out though and couldn't get any ha.
Long but gives you a chance
Good score for the course; bad one for me! My fault. The course offers you a chance but is long with challenging par 3s and 4s.
Good condition
The whole course was well tended to and in excellent condition including the greens.
Obvious restrictions to the facilities but friendly and helpful staff
Friendly
Really enjoyed my first time here, Great course and great conditions. Spoke to the Greenkeeper Martin who was very helpful and introduced himself. Only minor criticism, is there were sometimes no signs to the next tee, which meant I got lost. Will definitely be back.
Lovely course
Played this for the first time. Lovely fairways and greens were immaculate. Loved the 3 holes in the "triangle". Weather was lovely and sunny too. Only negative is there is no signs telling you where the next whole is which is poor. I'll be back for sure
Slow play annoys
The course has signs on every tee box declaring slow play annoys. Clearly none of the members read these signs. After almost 3hrs to complete the front nine we had to walk through the group in front. After speaking to some of the members in the car park we were told this is common and most people take over 4hrs to play. No thanks not for us.
The course is in fantastic condition
Played here a few times and it just seems to get better every time definitely one of the best courses in Northumberland.
This is a long course!
A decent day if not a bit windy to play Bedlington, the course was a good test, almost 1500 yards for the first 3 holes! and you know what your in for!
Fairways greens and bunkers all well kempt. My only gripe was that I was stuck behind 3 pensioners who would not wave me through, even though no one was in front of them nor behind me. I got the impression that they did it on purpose. When I was finished they were parking their buggy under the clubhouse and purposely blocked my way through. This to me only confirmed that they did it all intentionally. So a 3.5 hour round ended up being a 4.5 hour round. Etiquette what etiquette?
