Pleasant Saturday Afternoon
Having played over 20 rounds of Golf this year, searching for that white ball endlessly. I booked a round at this course as it was close enough to where i lived and i had heard it wasn't to bad.
The Course itself i found to be in good condition, Fairways, Greens and Tees........ all good. There are some pretty cool, nifty holes and the design throughout was pretty awesome.
If i had to pick a Top 3 favorite courses this year so far, i reckon this one would be right up there at joint 1st.
It was a twilight round, so no one behind or in front of me - which may have added to the experience.
Challenging for all levels
Greens were in great conditions.
Speed of golf was good
Some fairways were bare but generally really good.
Only downside was kitchen closed on arrival. Not tea, coffee or food due to winter opening times.
No correspondence to state this.
Highly recommended and challenging course
Very well maintained course
Good clubhouse facilities, pro shop and putting green
Brilliant Course
Very challenging course, in fantastic condition. Clubhouse is perfect for lunch before a round and a pint after.
Lovely course in v good condition
I have played here many times and this course is in tip top condition. The last 4 holes will sort the men from the boys. Lovely !!
Long, Testing but Fair
Fab day on a very established course - Amazing value for money so suggest playing if you’re over in that postcode vacinity.
Wouldnt Return or Recommend!
Rude course staff, drove buggy right up to us disturbing our putting etc. We were stuck behind 2 other 4 balls, but because there was an Essex tournament being held behind us staff we very rude and showed us no courtesy - it was obvious only the tournament players mattered to the club, not visitors. We had made it to the 16th hole before they had caught us up and were ourselves stuck behind 2 groups for a while. They made it obvious they were only concerned about golfers in the tournament and kept driving buggys up to us before the players got near to pressurise us. The last 3 holes ruined our rounds as a result and left a sour taste. We were happy to let them play through but would have liked to have finished our hole without staff driving so close around our green whilst we tried to finish. It's just rude.
Hot round
Hot weather was a familiar thing but the greens and tee boxes were in lovely condition. Flat and hill combined but a good first visit. And good scoring!
Enjoyable Challenge
This course has improved immeasurably following change of owners and is now a pleasure to play. Quite long with some challenging holes, but good wide fairways give a chance to score well if you keep the ball straight. Tees, greens & bunkers were all much better than I had expected to find here and staff I saw were all courteous. I'm a member at another club but also like to try different courses. Head greenkeeper Damien seemed genuinely pleased that I had chosen to play his course.... well, I have already booked to return soon!
Challenging, Interesting and long !
A pleasant setting for an excellent but challenging golf course.
Greens & Fairways in very good condition, staff very friendly.
Highly recommended - Give it a try !
Good course
Fairways were good
Rough was a little long but ok
Greens were very good
You can't have a buggie after 2pm as the club house shuts at 6pm on a Sunday. Does not say anything about this on the website. But members can.
Canons Brook
Would play here again - fantastic value round of golf - could not ask for more.
Lovely course in good condition
Really enjoyed the course. We played from the whites so 6700+ - monster!. Well, it is USGA week. Tees were well maintained, fairways were fairly generous although fine for the length. Bunker condition was good and the greens were true and medium-fast. All in all, we'll be back, and for £16+£1, we felt it was good value. For a Friday afternoon, there were very few people on the course and we flew around.
Very enjoyable round
Played a fourball at Canons Brook, found the course in excellent condition and we all throroughly enjoyed the round
Bargain
