Awesome Views around the golf course.

Lovely welcome back, on arrival, haven't played here for a couple of years.
Brilliant challenging course,
Greens are fast . Fantastic views around the course keeps.
Wind definitely makes you think of club choice.
Tried pulling a trolley before and learnt that it was a mistake with the inclines!
Carried clubs in a lighter bag so made it a good hike.
Really enjoyed the exercise and views.
Will definitely return
Many thanks

Best fun course to play

The most scenic course I have played in England took countless photos on every hole.
The most fun course I have ever played, loved the wildness and the sheep roaming free add to it.
Played after a shotgun start competition so we had the course to ourselves.
Greens ran very true an absolute steal for £20

Course layout out and conditions excellent again as they always are, just disappointed by the 4 ball playing in front of me, not having any golfing etiquette, despite me playing a round on my own, nor being allowed to play through and left at times nearly 15-20mins on the tee box whilst they either searched for lost balls or played shots from OOB.

Great course to play, and definitely a workout up and down the hills, club shop and clubhouse closed at time of attendance which I found a little annoying, a passing dog walker indicated this is always the case on a Tuesday! Other than that had an amazing time on my first visit to the course, loved the course layout, although a little local knowledge or potentially a scorecard! (If shop closed have them available for visitors) would have helped shot placement. But absolutely coming back.

Course in excellent condition.

Course in excellent condition, especially the greens. All staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the weather spoilt the overall enjoyment. The wind was brutal which made the golf very challenging and physically demanding. Would love to visit again on a calm day!

Great challenge with breath taking views

The course is a real challenge especially the first three holes - all tricky par 3’s. Once you get up nearer the top it flattens out and you start to fully appreciate its charm and quality. Really enjoyed it and will play again in the summer.
The golf pro came in to meet and greet us despite being his day off. Talked us through the course and was so supportive. A must play if you are in the area

Absolute Gem

Upland heath course. Very hilly and can be windy so the yardages go out of the window. Fairways are springy and great to hit from. The green and not super smooth given the altitude and weather but are still good and quite fast. For the time of year it played well with all holes in play and just one temporary tee. I suspect the rough will be more challenging in summer/autumn when the bracken grows.
Very helpful golf pro provides clear directions and tips. Will definitely return !!
Many thanks CSGC

The most surprising round of golf

I can't see how I'll be able to explain Church Stretton Golf Club. It was surprising at every turn, absolutely bonkers and yet completely pure golf. A real slog up the hill, for the first 3 holes, all Par 3s. The hard work of the climb pays off in many ways, but the downhill Par 3 18th would have made it worth it, easily 100ft drop so a wedge will carry 160+ yards. You're thrown in to the real Shropshire hills experience: wind, wind and more wind. Don't let this put you off, it's an experience that everyone should tackle (just take a comfortable pair of well broken in shoes). The views are incredible and every single hole, no exaggeration, is a well thought out adventure. Tantalisingly tempting short Par 4's, treacherous Par 3's and sheep for greenkeepers. I can't wait to play again

Stunning

Have looked forward to playing here after reading lots of the reviews on here - and it was definitely worth the wait. Amazing views.
The course was. In fantastic condition, the greens were better than the majority of courses we’ve played in the summer. Not overly long, but every hole needs to be thought about, certainly not a grip it and rip it course at all.
Can’t wait to go back - got a bargain hot deal for £13.99

Decent Day Out

Chose to play here due to the reviews of a good draining course and we weren't disappointed. For the time of year the course is in excellent condition. Very hilly as expected and stunning view's across the Shropshire Hills. It was a shame that we couldn't get breakfast before our tee time or a drink after but understandable maybe in mid week. Would like to play again in warmer weather.

Great Course, friendly staff

Turned up for an afternoon off work golf. Friendly greeting, talked through the course map and got going. The course is a difficult walk with a trolley but incredible views and in great condition. The greens were quick and true and the course well layed out. It plays well above it's slope rating for a first timer here.
